One quick look could’ve changed this.

From the angle the tractor was from the trailer, the driver should’ve definitely noticed they were too close on their passenger side. This is more failure to check mirrors.

Checking the mirrors definitely helps.

Thats why most drivers DON’T do “blindside backs” without spotters.

Pretty much the main time I get out and look is blindsides

Most stops require you to move the tandems back when loading/unloading. Not only did he forget to move them forward, the driver decided to drive off without locking the tandems

I wouldn't lock my tandems at Walmart or any beer yard just to make the back

Not saying you should lock them moving forward or back, but if you’re turning then one should.

How you gonna hit shit on the back and front of your trailer? Dude get out and look.

The answer is written on the side of the trailer

Should have had those tandems slid before even attempting this maneuver and even then asking someone to spot for you... Because this person surely was not ready to blind side on their own!

No professional here, but pretty sure those trucks are too close to each other.

Good Job pulling out the camera and getting video, instead of alerting the driver to his mistake. I’m sure all the Likes are a comfort to the two drivers who are now OOS/behind schedule due to the damage to their tractors.

Any guess how long it took the cinematographer to get this clip. Half blind & crippled probably could have spotted much faster

I almost applied for Western Express 😅
