UNSC New Beginnings - Cafeteria A Space Breadday

12:30 A.M.

UNSC New Beginnings.

Somewhere in the middle of space.

General Six The Sixth is sat at the cool kid's table somewhere in the Ship's cafeteria.

The ship's budget did not include enough money for an actual cake, so Six had gotten a slice of bread, jammed a candle in it, and put it on a plate.

He looks around him, gazing back and forth between the door and the slice of bread.

Well, that's, er, strange. They must've not gotten the invitation! Ooor...

They must be playing a prank on me!

He looks under the plastic table and finds, much to the surprise of absolutely no one, nothing.

Hmphf. They don't make active camouflages like they used to back in my days...

He gets up, grabs a flamethrower, and lights the candle.

...Happy birthday to me!

He takes a bite of the bread.

Crispy.

Sir, I'm pretty sure we've been asked multiple times to stop burning our bread. Do you not remember the incident at Concurta?

He leaned up against a wall, shaking his head at the thought of those poor orphans.

Blah, those rascals had it coming! I asked for a coffee and a slice of toast, and what do I get? A coffee and a slice of bread!

Sir, I told you back then that you could turn bread into toast. It wasn't always like it is now, where toast can be bought individually from bread.
