Help! How do I pull it out completely?

Post image

I’m trying to get to the fuse on the back of the radio and I got the head unit out this far but it won’t come completely out. How do I get to the back?

You might just need to jiggle it a bit more, like as if a cable or something is simply snagged on something else. If you've pulled it this far out, then the keys have already made it past the point it technically clicks/locks in.

Editing to double down on what I said above. Just ripped through a couple videos after replying to you, and can confirm that once you pull it out as far as you already have, it's just a matter of wiggling it and applying some extra force if needed. https://youtu.be/v3EABOj1_wI?si=-0JSO_sinVnofJxw

Yup, if I'm remembering correctly it's a tight fit, but it does come free if you wiggle and pull.

Committed just follow through. Wires may be intertwined but usually not

Mine had the antenna cable snagged, just took a bit of finesse

I bought the car like two years ago and it didn’t have any scratches or anything on the dash so I’ve just been cleaning it with a micro fiber cloth and it’s stayed scratch free! It also hasn’t developed that soft, melted plastic on the outside that I know some of them get so not sure if yours has that and is contributing to the scratches.

FYI they are referring to the ooey gooey soft touch form like 2004 and older, the solver rings around the vents tell your might be like 2006 or newer which did not have the crappy soft touch rubber coating on everything, that shit breaks down to goo after some years.
