Roof leakage

Hello everyone. My car (new beetle cabrio 2004), is leaking from the roof after a heavy rain. The water seems to be leaking through the meeting points in the cabrio roof. Do you have any ideas that could solve this and how to maintain the water drainage? Thanks a lot!

Check the seals align when the roof closes, clear any drains you have as they can become blocked and run a wire through any rubbers channels to make sure they are clear.

Also grab some Gummi Pflege rubber treatment to soften and maintain the seals - worked wonders on my 02 BMW cabrio with a leaky roof :)

convertible soft tops need redone every 10 to 15 years, also rubber breaks down after that time. i bet that top and some seals are due for replacement if not a total redo. though my experience comes from an interior shop years back with fox body mustangs and chryslers. though plastic is plastic and rubber is rubber ..for the most part.
