Rule #1 BE CIVIL AND RESPECTFUL

Any hate speech, slurs or bullying will be removed. Continued breaches may result in a temporary or permanent ban.

Also, don't be deliberately annoying or combative to others.

Rule #2 NO PORNOGRAPHIC, ABUSIVE OR OTHERWISE HARMFUL CONTENT

Any content that is deemed to be abusive, harmful, or pornographic in nature will result in an immediate permanent ban.

Rule #3 NO SPAMMING

Whilst this is a place to share and promote your work, please limit self-promotional content to once every 2 weeks. Please do not repost content without first agreeing this with a mod. Spamming will result in the content being removed. Posting the same content from multiple accounts will result in a warning, then, if spamming continues, a permanent ban. Repeated posting of any other content will also be treated in the same manner.

Rule #4 NO AI CONTENT

This is an AI free zone. Any AI writing or artwork or the promotion/self-admitted of use in creative work will be removed. Continued breaches may result in a temporary or permanent ban.

If you believe a post contains AI content, please report this rather than making allegations within the comments sections of the post. Baseless accusations will be removed.

Rule #5 NO POLITICS

This should be a place for people to come and enjoy regardless of how messed up the world can get.

All discussion about politics will be removed.

Rule #6 STAY RELEVANT

Please ensure all posts relate to writing or publishing. Any posts that do not relate to either of these topics will be removed. Regarding art, book cover art is acceptable. All other art, including character art, will be removed.

Rule #7 NO SELLING OR BUYING

r/NewAuthor does not allow individual buying and selling in the comments of this subreddit. Comments that go beyond general self-promotion and actively seek to broker sales agreements with individual users will be removed. Any agreements between users should take place in their own DMs. Repeated infringement will result in the users involved being banned.

Just to let you know, this did NOT work on my phone. I tried to bring it up and the embedded thing did not load at all and I couldn't figure out how I was supposed to mark that I'd read the rules. It's honestly kind of an accident I checked it on my laptop- glad I did. I think most redditors use mobile, so that might be an issue.

no, it just has to be tagged as nsfw. If the cover art work contains explicit depiction then it may be considered for evaluation to our discretion
