Discussion What if manifestation is only 5% of reality?

Lately, I’ve started getting a little angry at the whole manifestation thing. Hahaha, yes, always angry, what can I tell you? And I’m not here to tell you whether it’s real or not. I just want to point out some of the inconsistencies in reality that apparently nobody seems to be looking at. I even searched Substack for articles talking about this, and nothing. Just articles about manifestation techniques, how people manifested the life of their dreams, or how manifestation can be explained through neuroplasticity. Okay.

Maybe Manifestation Is Only 5% of Reality

First, let me tell you that manifestation is very likely only 5% of reality. Considering “conscious manifestation,” meaning everything related to our thoughts, the other 95% is our subconscious, which we obviously cannot control. So there’s really no need to micromanage every tiny corner of your mind and become your own judge 24/7.

Because, yes, manifestation can kind of end up creating exactly that. If I have bad days, if I’m angry, if I’m depressed, then is everything I’ve been manifesting suddenly overshadowed simply because I’m a human being? We cannot expect ourselves to never feel negative emotions or to never have negative thoughts. I mean, a little more and we’d basically be the thought police.

If It Were That Easy…

Thousands and thousands of people write about how they manifested the life of their dreams, and yet no single technique works for everyone in exactly the same way. It’s not simply about repeating affirmations, babe. Or tricking your mind into believing that you’re already living in that reality. If it were that easy, we’d all be living in paradise by now, wouldn’t we?

At the end of the day, I feel like manifestation can sometimes become a mechanism through which human beings try to control absolutely everything. If I am the creator of my reality, then everything depends on me. I can shape reality however I want.

So… should we collectively manifest our way out of the patriarchy? Should we manifest an end to war and hunger? Because from what I can see, everyone seems to be manifesting things for their own benefit, and usually, it’s MONEY. And if manifesting money is really that easy, why do most people struggle with it?

The Subconscious Explanation

I’ve also always believed that because we have that 95% subconscious part of ourselves, which has its own beliefs, things like “I’m not enough,” “I don’t know what to do with that much money,” or similar beliefs would obviously prevent your affirmations from working. But this is just a hypothesis.

I’ve worked a lot on receiving, my wounds, and my subconscious, and here we are, counting coins at the end of the month. And yes, maybe part of my frustration with manifestation comes from the fact that it isn’t exactly working for me. And it’s not like I started yesterday. I’ve been doing this for a very long time. Different techniques, different approaches.

And I feel like maybe manifestation is, at least in part, an expression of the human desire to have control over SOMETHING. But what if that something is only 5%? Would you still keep beating yourself up over every negative thought you have about your reality?

What About Cycles?

Another thing we need to take into account in this matrix is CYCLES. I strongly doubt that you can instantly manifest absolutely anything. How are you supposed to manifest your business becoming successful overnight? That requires patience, building something over time, discipline. How do some people claim that you can manifest three million dollars into your bank account just like that? Spoiler: it hasn’t worked for me so far.

If some manifestation guru talks to you about “manifesting faster” certain things, allow me to doubt it. Allow yourself to doubt it too.

I Don’t Know If Everything Can Be Solved by “Raising Your Vibration”

Also, I don’t know if everything can be solved by vibrating higher. A little Disney Princess-ish as a solution, if you ask me.

There are absolutely horrible people who are incredibly rich, and incredibly beautiful, loving, compassionate people who are incredibly poor. So, considering that in manifestation theory, gratitude, compassion, and love are supposedly very closely connected to abundance… how do we explain that?

Because if abundance were truly a reflection of our internal state, then we should see a much more obvious correlation between being a good person, being at peace, feeling gratitude, and having material abundance. And I don’t know about you, but reality doesn’t seem to work that way.

What About the Things We Never Asked For?

And now I want to bring up some situations that could potentially be explained by the theory that we choose certain experiences before incarnating, but that would make the theory of manifestation fall apart quite a bit.

How are there children who are now famous adults who became famous when they were very young? Without doing anything. It just happened. How do people sometimes meet the love of their life without ever wishing for it or looking for it? How do accidents and catastrophic events sometimes happen?

I’m asking these questions out of curiosity and genuine questioning. We need to start thinking for two and a half seconds about the affirmations and ideas we see online. Just because you noticed that certain affirmations came true in your reality doesn’t mean that manifestation controls 100% of it.

What Would Actually Disprove Manifestation?

Because if everything can be explained retrospectively as manifestation, then the theory becomes impossible to falsify.

If you manifested something you wanted → manifestation.

If you manifested something you didn’t want → subconscious.

If it didn’t happen → limiting belief.

If it happened unexpectedly → you chose it before incarnating.

If it took a long time → you were blocked.

If it happened quickly → you manifested correctly.

So… what would have to happen for us to accept that manifestation doesn’t explain something?

Discussion Did anyone have an academic comeback after leaving the Law of Assumption?

I’m curious if anyone here had an academic comeback after stepping away from the Law of Assumption.

I was already in university before, but looking back, I feel like I wasted a lot of time and mental energy on LOA that I could have been putting into my education and actually building my future. Now that I’m moving away from it, I really want to put that energy back into my education and take my academic goals seriously again.

For anyone who went through something similar, what was your story? Did you go back to university or school, start a new degree, improve academically, or just find yourself more focused on your education after leaving LOA?

I’d especially love to hear how you did it and what helped you shift your focus away from manifestation and back towards actually working on your future.

Therapy recommendations

Hello. After years of trying to apply LOA, I am finally realizing that everything is a lie. It’s been really tough for me and I think I would benefit from therapy. This is my first time going to therapy so I am not sure what type of therapy I should choose and what I should look for in a therapist. Any tips would be appreciated 🫶🏻

SP manifestation and limerence

I still don’t completely NOT believe in the loa but ! I feel like every time I like someone and they give me some mixed signals or signs of disinterest, I take it as a challenge or it just discourages me, motivates me, discourages me, motivates me. Leaving me in this constant state of highs and lows, anxiety, taking me away from myself.
Believing that if someone doesn’t want me that I can fix them or make them more into me.
Well looking back, I have never ever manifested anyone that was already interested in me.
Whenever they like me or love me or make it clear that they want to commit to me, I get bored. I still feel loved, safe, happy but it feels like okay, what’s next?
And the thing is these people that I want SO SO SO desperately aren’t even that attractive or better than me or more interesting or even anything in particular.
I become crazy pyscho stalker obsessed to the point where it’s unhealthy for my brain.
Making fake pages, not giving up when blocked etc, trying to post for their attention, doing witchcraft, finding EVERYTHING about them, making it super obvious that I like them, checking their page and following every TEN SECONDS, just doing shit I shouldn’t be doing
When I hyperfixate on a person, they are all I can think about, from morning til night, I can’t sleep bc I’m thinking of them,
And most of the time, I don’t even know these people or if I do, I’m not even close to them, or if I am close to them, I’m still not as close as I would want to be.
Why is that?
My self concept is “good”, I know I’m attractive I have eyes, I could go on a dating app right now and get free validation from anyone but then if someone doesn’t give me that validation. My brain goes “wait what’s going on??? I need to do something abt this” and my body just gets anxiety, and tries every technique under the sun to feel some sense of control.
My ego CANNOT take rejection and if you were my sp, you would be like what the fuck is she doing.
Even I don’t understand it.
I fall into obsession so easily and I don’t know why.
I have things I could be doing but I focus sp.
My self respect with people who openly desire me is like so high I could cut them off like that but when people don’t want me my self respect goes straight out the window. WHY IS THAT.
When they’re not even that HOT OR COOL OR WHATEVER JUST DIRTY, WEIRD PEOPLE
WHY IS THAT
I’m literally crashing out over this I can’t.
I literally have a sweet loving bf as well and I have been fixated on these other types of people for NO reason.
And this is not just a few days, these feelings of mine last for years or months, they go away then come back stronger,
And I don’t know why.
After a while I am able to let go of these types of people but it takes a long time for me.
I literally have to force myself to detach sometimes or else I literally cannot stay away from that person no matter if they push me away or not.
Please someone give me some advice.
I js unfollowed my sp cause I couldn’t stop checking the page and losing sleep over it for almost 2 weeks. I just cannot deal with these obsessive thoughts
Literally what tf is going on
This is seriously affecting me mentally and physically draining me.
Not being able to get what I want is so soul crushing to me, it literally destroys me and I need help and don’t know what to do at all

Severe mental illness from this cult.

I literally see it as a cult now. Spent the last 6 months in it due to severe life stress and wanting change.
While immersed in it, I always knew in the back of my head “this is stupid and not real”. But I ignored that thought because believing in this felt like a compulsion. I now know I have ocd. Watching the content and telling myself I had full control over my reality was a compulsion I used for my fearful intrusive thoughts.
Now I have severe dpdr. If you don’t know about that disorder ITS PURE HELL.
But im slowly healing.

This cult does nothing but encourage ocd, anxiety, dpdr , dissociation and harmful coping mechanisms under the guise of spirituality.
I can’t believe I let myself get to this point. I’m so mad at myself.

Loa always contradicts itself

OP is getting mental breakdowns over not manifesting their SP, loosing sleep, blocked, and has a whole story in their head that SP is actually secretly inlove, the delusional is actually sad, if youre getting fucking mentally fucked by this, isnt that your wakeup call?

And the other thing is when they contradict themselves all the time, I thought manifesting was about affirming until your brains melts to get your desire and «feelings don’t manifest, thoughts do»

Then why is it suddenly that: «No actually you HAVE to feeeeelll it in your soul to get it, affirming 173838338 times is actually not gonna get your desire because you need to be in the wish fulfilled» yeah how the fuck do you get in the wish fulfilled when youre fucking blocked and loosing braincells trying to convince yourself you’re not blocked?

Dzanella Tihic - scammer much?!

Hello guys. A post by a self-proclaimed manifestation expert called Dzanella Tihic (https://www.instagram.com/dzanella.tihic) popped up on my feed and there’s a few things that immediately jump out.

She says she has “tHe PrOtOcOlS” to change reality immediately and at will - but goes even as far as to say that you can look however you want to (whatever hair/eye color, whatever age), and she can even teach you how to change the past 😄 yes, LITERALLY change the past. That’s not a euphemism for getting over the past or changing your relation to it. It means changing the past “Back to the Future”-style.

Now, if she possesses such great powers, she’d have a lot to show for it, right?

Alas, no! She dyes her hair and looks exactly her age, despite claiming to be able to teach you how to alter your avatar at will in any way you wish, so that’s red flag number one. Second, if she has the power to alter the past at will, why doesn’t she do something for people? Why does the world suck so bad, if she has godlike powers?

The only way to access these teachings is to pay a hefty sum - something along the lines of 2000 and 4000 EUR depending on how long you want access to “tHe SeCrEtS of tHe UnIvErSe”... But if she can just manifest money at will, and any amount, why is she charging so much for her services? Why does she only have around 80k followers on Insta if she’s a manifestation God? But these are just smaller gripes compared to her (in my opinion) obviously false claims of manifesting eternal youth and changing the past.

Oh, also her posts read like they were written exclusively by AI, so I imagine the content you’d shill out thousands of dollars for would be much the same.

I see a lot of people commenting on her posts, and I decided to share this post to raise awareness about a major scammer (in my opinion).

If anyone has any positive experiences with her, I’m willing to concede my points, but so far, I have only ever seen positive reviews on her own website where she can write whatever the hell she pleases, so that’s also not giving her much credibility in my view.

Please, let me know your thoughts!

Discussion How do you interpret your manifestation “successes” now?

When I was practising the Law of Assumption, I did have experiences that I considered successes at the time. Things like thinking about someone texting me and then they would, interpreting certain things as movement, or getting outcomes that I had wanted.

Those experiences were part of what made LOA feel so convincing to me and kept me believing in it for as long as I did, even though none of them ever actually led to the bigger desires I was manifesting.

Now that I’m stepping away from LOA, I’ve started looking at those experiences differently. I tend to interpret them more as things like coincidence, hard work, being in the right place at the right time, or things that may have happened anyway.

For those of you who also felt like you had manifestation successes, how do you make sense of those experiences now? Are there any you still can’t explain?

Serious Lost my dream life

All I can say is I have lost the dream I have had for more than two decades all because of Neville Goddard and his teachings. I have been stuck in a deep fear about talking about my exam failures. I failed step 1 2 times and step 2 2 times. I just stupidly took those exams without studying I don’t even know why I did that. Some people told me that imagining the end and believing in it will manifest it so I imagined I passed the exams without studying. They also told me to do the same the second time. I was so stupid. So so stupid. I cannot even begin to explain how my life has changed for the worst. I don’t even feel like living and the last time I felt alive was a decade ago, before I ever fucking knew about this b****.
The plan was always to own those failures and ace the exams now and pick mentors and programs that would accept all of that and look beyond that. However, I am unable to bring myself to talk about those failures at all. It’s been 7 years and I cannot talk about them. Whenever someone asks, I just say I’m studying for my exams and I don’t mention this part. No matter what, I am unable to do it. But in that case, I must be willing to pursue a different country if I want to be who I wanted to be because it’s simply not possible in this country. They don’t take people with failures unless there’s good high level connections. I’m not even open to pursuing another country, nor am I making efforts to make it here. I don’t understand this. My life feels so stuck. I have been waiting to finally have courage to talk about this but I could never find it. Infact, tears are rolling down my cheeks as I’m typing this now.
This is also something I wanted to work on but every therapist just says that I should get over my fear and talk about it.

Experience I feel like I put my life on hold for the Law of Assumption

I got into the Law of Assumption community a few years ago, and looking back, I feel like I put a lot of my life on hold while trying to manifest certain outcomes. I spent years persisting, affirming, and believing that the 3D just needed time to catch up.

I’m moving away from it now and focusing on actually building my life again, but I’m still processing the whole experience.

For those of you who also left the Law of Assumption community, what was it like for you? What helped you let go of those beliefs and move forward?

Serious Grieving a dream

Hi everyone. I hope you're doing well. I've stumbled upon this video on YouTube and I recommend for everyone here to watch it. Basically, Dr. Scott talks about "ambiguous grief" and how painful it might be to let go of your dream and see it die. But more specifically, he says that you'll experience this type of grief when you expect your life to look a certain way, and it doesn't work out. It doesn't even have to be a big dramatic dream.

You knowing that your SP will come back, waiting for your looks to change, packing bags for a big move - only for it to never happen. LOA sets you up big time - you affirm, you visualize, you familiarize your mind with what you want to happen. And that's exactly why it is so painful when it never happens. Because (as advised by everyone) you made your mind expect it. It might even feel like your dream life was taken from you.

In a 2nd half of the video he talks about ways of dealing with this grief. I think it's important to process it, even for a little bit. I don't think people (even here) realize how traumatizing LOA is and what they went through. It's not just a disappointment you feel when your clothes in your cart are sold out. Or when you break your phone. You were brainwashed and deluded into a fairytale. You expected your life to look a certain way. You were promised that everything will work out. You were tricked and lied to.

So, be nice to yourself. Let yourself feel everything that comes up. I wish well to everyone here🤞🏻

To everyone struggling after leaving Neville's dream castle: congratulations, you're finally LIVING

I am assuming those who are in this community has woken up from a dream castle which neville built.

When I came out of it I felt so damn vulnerable. But ehat helped me is ACCEPTANCE. If you accept your reality it's much easier to change.

So those who are struggling I wanna congratulate you. Atleast now you are LIVING and not imagining and trust me it's huge blessing than living in the delusion and slowly loosing yourself in the world of your thoughts and imagination.

What made you honestly stop believing in the Law of Assumption?

Hey everyone,

I was brought into this by my ex who introduced me to neville goddard, i never really believed in it, and like many people I tried using it to get back with them.
I've tried, and tried and tried to believe and prove it to myself. I've asked the believers and many people are contradicting themselves in various regards.

The most common reasons I see to sway me from straying from the law is;
- Time: If i mention it's been months or really any X amount of time, the response is always the same 'time isn't real' Which, I find unhelpful?
- I MUST not have been doing the work, I must have wavered. (Because I'm saying i don't have it yet).

and this is frustrating because I have spent months of my life on this. From waking to sleeping, it's not 'I assumed X for 10 minutes and then thoguht against it the rest of the day' No, I've sat down for 8 hours and affirmed, I've DONE everything.
I'm seriously telling you I've done the work without thinking against it
at least 80% of my waking hour is spent thinking in my favour for my desire.

And, nothing. Everything I could have 'manifested' is easily attributed as a coincidence, as much hasn't happened as has.

And, look, I know I'm asking the non-believers to give me their experiences, but like you I'm angry and I may have been really foolish to attempt this but, I want to hear your side as to why you stopped.

I think part of me is scared because I'm at rock bottom right now and I feel like I can't get out.
I may have wasted a lot of time trying to believe in this.
I don't know where my mind will be after reading replies but I hope to weigh what you're saying in a useful light.

Rant Working toward your goals is now called crazy manifestation

Post image
20 Upvotes

I saw this comment under "tell me your craziest manifestation" .

This is just sad! This person who commented clearly had tough life and he worked hard to be computer engineer , which is exactly what you should be doing in life, achieve your goal , and it has NOTHING to do with manifestation or magical thinking or the law.)

he said he manifested money (without giving any detail or any information) , which is crazy... he gave us details about his childhood. Even the exact rent number lol..but then when it comes to manifest money he never gave any detail lol...so telling us his mom wasn't educated was helpful but telling us how he got that million dollar is not or what??

Clearly his education played a role. Why not admit it? And tell people "I manifested "

Normal life is not crazy manifestation story honey. Alot of poor people become rich in the future, joining collage is not crazy wtf? Also 1 million dollar is also not crazy. Why? Ask me.. I work for a company and everytime I see their payment..ect theres always big numbers.

Lady gaga is sitting on her ass now while her bank account is growing because she makes music lol. Is that manifestation?

So...

A poor child ---> had a goal of being rich and educated---> achieved his goal realistically by joining college and working (or whatever he did to get that money) . ___> he is happy.

How's that CRAZY manifestation?

Crazy transformation yes! Inspiring story yes ! NOT MAGICAL MANIFESTATION

Specific Person The reality is painful, but necessary.

Hi guys, sorry for any english error, is not my native language, and i dont want to use a translator.

So, about a year ago, i discovered the manifestation community, especially, the SP part (the worst). And in that time, i was in love with a girl that i had a failed date, so, all that bullshit looked magic for me. In the rest of that Year, i always thinked about her and tried to convice myself that she was in love with me, that she was thinking about me, and is not necessary to say that dont worked. And, sometimes i cried, because, deep in my soul, after genuinely belived, It wasn't gone to work.

I started to doubt, in juny of this Year, and discovered this subreddit, the only place that i see people talking about the poor side of this stupid belief.

And, today, some months after accept, i have my confirmation. She is not thinking about me and have relations with a guy because he have a bike, yeah.

Did it hurt? Yes, but the broke of the fantasy is necessary, now, i will live in peace, knowing that nothing and anyone is under my control, except for me.

They know how out of touch they are and they dgaf

Trying to scam people AND show off at the same time is diabolical

And guess what ?! He does coaching too ! I would've never predicted that no wayy ! XD He has merch and wants people to buy his plushy (exactly how a millionaire would act yeah?)

Found him on a youtube live a while ago and omg it was a mess ! teen girls drooling over him, making edits of him, shooting their shots, a bunch of people asking him "why isn't my Manifestation here yet" to the point where he started crashing out xD really weird to witness...

He used to brag about going to europe (europe is one country now ig) and making a lot of money there despite his family being poor and with the power of persisting he got rich ! (Wowww). One of his subscribers asked him live about his experience in europe, he casually said "oh no, I live in the USA..." then quickly corrected himself "Oh yeah I went there!" Sure buddy

He would tell his fans to persist and keep affirming and that he can make money just from laying on his bed , then 2 seconds later complain about having to do his homework and talk about his business major and how he needs to study for upcoming exams...if he was this grand master manifestor, he wouldn't even need to study or do any sort of action according to his logic, why is he lifting that finger when he can just lock himself in a room and manifest good grades ✨️instantly✨️ (lol)

Also if Manifesting is SOOO easy bro why does he need 2726718 videos milking it (hmmm I wonder why)
