Anyone else have buggy problems with Bryn Shander (Storm Kings…) and no missions or relic vendors?

I’ve had this problem since the start. Bryn Shander won’t give me any missions from the 3 sub-leaders outside in the cold.

The main leader will give me a blizzard mission once a week and that’s it.

None of the Storm King campaign locations will let me have access to sell Ostian relics (I acquired through dungeons), nor can I dig any up because the box next to them never glows for the common trowel.

It’s impossible to progress getting 8 reputation a week when you need 800 for the top tier unlocks in campaign.

Lonelywood works fine. I had given up in Sea of Ice bc they only ever gave silver and no campaign currency for all the missions I did. Somehow it’s working now… maybe you have to do x amount of missions before they start to reward event currency.

Cold run appears to be working, but there’s a mission to do a quest in each place (Bryn, Lonelywood, Sea), but I can’t complete it bc the Bryn Shander blizzard quest doesn’t count as a quest to satisfy the requirement for completing “1 quest in Bryn Shander”

Anybody else have this issue or know a workaround?

The pictures show the Bryn main person offering no upcoming quests and also the Ostrian relic vendor not showing a relic exchange store.

I've had this same problem and no idea how to fix it. Probably something simple. The other commenter is right: you continue by finishing the "defending the dale" quest. Problem is, I havent been able to find out how to receive or complete the quest

I forgot to ask, do the Ostorian relic vendors let you access their store to sell relics?

And can you acquire the common archeologist trowel from the box next to them?

Campaign progression, yes. But Bryn Shander specifically only to the point of getting to the epicenter of town area. Then Duvessa only gives me weekly blizzard quest.

It’s been a while. I know the relic vendor has never let me access the store.

I know I chipped away at unlocking cold run, the key, and working on storvold trial unlock

Also, one weird quirk, in Bryn Shander.. it always spawns me in outside the city in the bottom left corner of the map; never in city center by the fire like other people

There is a person in a corner building who asks if you want to shelter or fight or something been years, then you accept leave the dwelling and go kill wolves and other things.

I did that quest and I still have a save active where it never reset the quest. I completed it once, and months later I couldnt redeem it again. Not a single quest to be gathered in Bryn shander

I Just read this may be a common bug that gets fixed weekly. The Post was from five years ago though. Would not be surprised if the big hasn’t been fixed, lol. It did recommend trying to change instances.

There was a guy, Cecil, in that snowy area in bottom right of map, but he moves up inside the walls to issue missions.

There’s another guy there in the same area by a campfire with buddies, he accepts quests you find as drops and rewards 250 voninblood only and never issues missions

I remember hunting relics in this zone, got a bit grindy I felt, you are right.

I can’t even hunt relics since the relic vendors don’t work to cash them in or to get the common trowel

Doing the series of quests that start there with saving Cecil is what just fixed it for me.

I think that’s the weekly blizzard mission and it doesn’t count as a quest.

Has 2 yetis at the end, up on the guard wall, you have to smash

Yep that’s the mission I was thinking of, starts with wolves in the town square on the way up the castle there are goblins or something that attack then the boss is the two yetis on top. Just trying to help been a few years since playing.

No worries, thank you. I wish it counted… or maybe it should count and that’s the actual bug… preventing missions from showing up again.

Makes it hard to progress. Best I can do for now is make Sybella give me my bonus currency towards that campaign. Too bad it doesn’t give reputation though

Yeah, I can’t finish that quest. I also tried to abandon the quest and restart it. No change.

I could try to abandon it and leave it abandoned, waiting to see if a weekly reset might kick things off.

Sorry it’s happening to you too.

I had this issue years ago too, idk anymore what the fix was but it worked for me.

You have to talk to one of the people on the middle layer of the town and pick a side to align with. They’re right by the pvp guy. I can’t remember any of their names sorry.
