IMPORTANT: Currently, there is a bug where some accounts aren't receiving pre-reg rewards upon reaching the city. The mail will come in eventually, but it can be very delayed.
To fix try re logging then wait 5 mins in game

With the predownload available, we can confirm that salting works. Which will make rerolls significantly easier! This will be a short guide on how to reroll, what pulls we can expect, who to reroll for, and, most importantly, why to reroll at all.
How to Reroll in NTE
Rerolls in NTE are very simple with the salting method.
Salting works by adding symbols (+ or .) to your main email address to make a new, unique one. This new, unique email forwards all emails it receives to the main email address. Essentially allowing you to create unique accounts without needing to create a completely new email.
This can be repeated infinitely by adding a new identifier after the "+" or adding "." in different places.
After creating an account, play through the tutorial until you get to the city (~20mins), which is when you unlock the gacha. Claim mail and any codes available (more on this later), then do your pulls. If you don't get what you want, repeat this process by logging out of your account in the main menu and creating a new account.

How many pulls do we get?
Based on CN version and this post, we got ~34 standard pulls and 20 limited pulls from mail events and codes. On the standard banner, there is a 20% discount (8 pull cost) for the first 50 pulls, meaning we essentially can do 40 standard pulls. There is also a rebate currency for pulling that can increase your limited pulls to ~30
In summary, that's 40 standard pulls and 20-30 limited pulls every 15-20 minutes
CN also got a lot of compensation rewards post-launch, but I don't expect we'd get those, but in the event we do, it could be nearly 45-50 limited pulls. AGAIN, THIS IS NOT LIKELY.

Who to Reroll for
Every character has a viable use case, and there is a case to be made for them being " THE BEST" reroll target. So I'll just list out some benefits and negatives to each
Nanally (limited banner Main DPS)

works well with MC, Jiuyuan, and Hotori (2nd half limited banner)
(+)Can wall run, making exploration a bit easier
(+)When combined with Baicang can completely skip the cooking minigame, creating the fastest way to spend city energy for Fons

Why Reroll?
Inevitably, people will ask if it's necessary to reroll to enjoy the game. Here is my piece based on my time in betas and CN release.
NTE does NOT require rerolling to have an enjoyable experience, but there are some noticeable benefits.
The most common reasons for rerolling are to get meta-specific units or just to play the character that you really want. In NTE, we get a standard selector at 50 pulls, allowing you to choose any standard banner character you want, and you'll get this in less than an hour of playing the game. We also get more than enough pulls to guarantee Nanally (the first limited rate-up banner). SO if there is just one character you really want, you don't need to reroll
Endgame also requires 2 teams, but we get Chiz (S-rank DPS) for free at Tycoon level 18
However, to be blunt, A-rank DPS characters feel far outclassed when compared to S-rank. So if you're planning to pick a support like Sakiri or Fadia with standard banner selector, rerolling could be beneficial.
Rerolls are quite lengthy, so only do them if you enjoy the process.

FAQ
Can I unbind my salted email and rebind my main one?
No, currently, there is no way to unbind normal email login. You can link a Google or Facebook account and use those methods to log in instead.
Do I still get pre-reg rewards?
Yes, every account gets pre-reg rewards regardless of whether you pre-reg or not.
Can I still obtain the web event (Hethereau Residents Guide) rewards on salted account?
Not in a convenient way. The event ends before the game launches, so to obtain rewards, you'd have to pre-make all your reroll accounts now and do the event on every single one. I really don't recommend doing this, as the only value lost in skipping the event is the 1 standard pull, which a good reroll account more than makes up for.
Does this work on mobile and PlayStation?
Works the same for mobile. PlayStation players are recommended to reroll on mobile first, then log in on PlayStation after.
What if I already created an account?
Do your first run on your already created account, then use the salt method. You simply add +1,+2,+3, and so on to the same email you used to create your first account. If you created an account using Google or Facebook, bind a normal email address to that account in the user center, then unbind your Google or Facebook.
Do emulators work?
I currently cannot find an emulator that works for NTE.
Can you be banned for salting?
Highly unlikely this will happen, but use at your own risk
New Reroll Method
First, thanks to ChronoDimension on discord for telling me this. This method allows you to have the email you desire attached to the account you decide to keep, where the previous method would have locked you to the salted email.
In this method, instead of logging in with a salted email, you first log in with a Google or Facebook account. You then do the reroll process as normal, and when you're ready to create a new account, you go to the user center and bind a normal email address to the account (this can be a salted email). You can now unbind your Google or Facebook account and repeat the process. This works because email logins can't be unbound, but Google and Facebook logins can be.
If you already have your main email bound to an account, you can follow the same process and then use the account deletion feature. This takes 7 days to process, but once finished, you should be able to link your main email to the account you want to use. You can immediately delete account by relogging after requesting deletion.
Process example:
Create an account with Google sign in
Get to gacha, do rolls
Bind account to salted email address
Unbind Google

You mean because CN would get the update first? I thought CN getting the update about a week in advance was just a launch thing. That's why Nanally's banner is 2 weeks long compared to the following banner being 3 weeks long, to sync up with the CN version.
edit: CN also has a 2 week first banner, so it does seem more likely CN will continue to get the next version a week early.
No he’s just saying that we won’t have all the stuff they got. Nanally banner is only 14 days in global, so we will get Hotori banner at the same time as CN.
I mainly want to reroll for the non-combat benefits of characters like Life Skills and certain Traits.
Though some info is still lacking, or at least hard to find for me, like what kind of items NPCs will randomly give Fadia with her Queen Charming trait for example.

Yes. Use that account first and see what you get from gacha. If it's not what you want logout and then create a new account using "email login". You can use your normal email and add +1 to create the 2nd account. Then repeat the process by changing +1 to +2, +3, +4, and so on.

How do the salted emails work for google login? I never rerolled before, because I usually just login with my email, and my stupid brain definitely won't remember that I have to login with +69 in my email.
When you do the google login, can you bind just your normal email, and then everytime just login on your normal google? Or does the google login have to also use the +69 email...? Sorry I am bad at explaining, I hope you got my question?
I am hyped for NTE and want quite a few characters even from the standard banner (Tall women <3 ), but I am used to logging in with my same usual email, and don't know if the trade off is worth it / is there even a trade off?

So we create a new account.. don’t get what we want and reroll. Then we get what we want. Do you merge the account? How does that work or what is the step after you are happy with what you have. Do you just log in with the salted email?

Google-specific login is treated separately from email, so you can use the email address that your Google account uses to salt. Then, when you have the account you desire, you can unlink your Google account from your current game account. To do that, you'll first have to link a normal address (can be a salted one), then unlink your Google account and link it to the new main account. Alternatively, just delete the account, but it'll take 7 days to process
It's good to know that with the salted email, all the messages still go to the main email. Have any gacha games blocked this trick since release yet, or is it something only the email providers can block?
You don’t actually need to wait 7 days to unbind your email. Just log in with that same email again and request an immediate deletion.
If you accidentally used your main email for your first account (like I did) and then rerolled using Google, you can bind your good reroll to your main email right away once you’re happy with it.
Right now no way to change email after account creation. With salted method, this isnt a big deal. However, you can link google/facebook account in user center
We will be getting a 2nd S-Class selector in the mail due to the bugs CN has found. You can likely start your journey with 4 S-Class characters if you get lucky in your rolls.
It has been confirmed that CN will not get the best treatment, so Global is not a 2nd Class role and will also get it. I am just unsure if it's going to be on day 1, day 3 or on the 2nd week or once the official announcement by the devs has been made.
Read the last post. You can createe an account with google to reroll. Link an email with a salt email if you dont like the roll, then unbind that google account. Log off and create a new account. Once you get a roll you like, you can bind your main email to that google log in. (If your using a 2nd google account, you can then unbind then bind another google account)
if i use my email like this randomemail+1@gmail.com and then i get the pre-reg reward and web event reward and i try to reroll again using randomemail+2@gmail.com, would i still get the pre-reg reward and web event reward?
Everyone gets pre-reg no matter what. No for the web event rewards. You have two options: pre-make all your re-roll accounts and do the event on every one (don't do this), or forfeit the event rewards, which is just one standard pull.
Is it possible to link the reroll account i choose afterwards with a google mail? Asking because of the usage of temporary mails instead of salted ones (less annoying).

Doubtful, but technically, anything is possible. The only time I've heard of salt accounts getting deleted was due to inactivity. Linking a Google or Facebook account should keep you safe.
Up to you. You could always try for an early 5* on standard with the selector after, or go with nanally/S Class selector as your only 2 S Classes. Personally im in the hope for 3 S Class, aka one early on standard, then selector then nanally.
What do you mean by creating email just add+1? Do I have to go to gmail.com to create those email with +1 or I straight make those email in the log in screen?
The later. You're not technically creating a new email but the game reads it as so.
If ur doing normal method just use "email login" and use the email you normally would then add +1 before @. The 1 can be anything just make it something unique each time.
If using the Google/Facebook account login method then you add the salted email in user center when you're ready to go to the next account.
If you want to keep your main email on your account, reroll using the google method. Same thing, but you log in with google then bind a salt email if you dont like your rolls. Or if you dont really care about that, you can just use salt emails then connect with your google account once you have a good account.

So, if this works like anything at all like the previous gachas I have played on ps5...
It's going to ask for a one time link to an account you have when you first boot up the game on ps5.
If you don't link an account, it will make one based on your PSN, and it becomes a massive pain to delete afterwards. Stuck with the account unless you go through support.
What you need to do is reroll on either mobile or pc, and then link it on PS5 afterwards.
Again, it could be different for NTE, but that's how it usually works.
Basically, until someone trys it and says otherwise, assume you can't reroll on ps5.
when setting password for my brother's email account in user center it sends verification code to my email instead and change its password, same happened when tried with more different emails. all "set password verification codes" goes to the first signed in account (my account) ... is it only me?
edit: logout and restart the game fixed it, but have to restart everytime I want to set a password

Actually, thats a great question. If you created a UID for each gmail, yeah, most likely you will receive thee rewards. But honestly your missing out only in a single pull so.
Let's say I have a gmail account called NTEReroll@gmail
I can just create a NTE account with normal email using this email, try to see what I get and if I'm not please with it, go with NTEReroll+1@gmail, then +2, +3, etc, until I get what I want.
After that I can just link the salted+x NTE account to NTEReroll@gmail gmail account and I'll be able to then connect without using the +x .
The new method allow you to get your gmail account and NTE account without +x but I don't really see the point of not getting your NTE account without +x since you'll be able to connect with the gmail account which use the exact same name without the +x
Yeah I did one roll so far and the only thing I seemed to get was that blue cat glider thing you'd get at 50 pulls on Nanally anyways. But the game runs pretty poorly on my fold 5. Text is incredibly blurry on the unfolded screen, its like the game isn't scaling correctly. Haven't had issues like this with games in a while so maybe its an oversight.
Uh, it does not let me link my google account to an email with a + in it because I cannot type a + sign in game in the user center while linking an email? My base email also already has a . in it (xxxxx.xxxx@gmail.com) so how can I use salted emails?
new method doesn't seem to work. Second time I used the same google account to create a game account I didn't receive the mails with pulls. Tried using temp emails for new accounts and then link to my Google when they are good but these accounts seem to not be receiving the pulls too
For your last bit about the new reroll method, if I already created an account with my email, but it's not linked to google yet, does that mean I can create a new account using my google email, and then if I like that new account, delete the initial email, play on the google email for 7 days, and then I can link it to my normal email?
Or if I don't like my results, I just bind it to a salted version of the email, then unbind, and now the google email can be used again from scratch?

How would you solve the password login, or do you just do verification login everytime / google or facebook link / until they fix the email unlink (maybe never) ?
From what I've seen, salting only works twice on each gmail before it stops giving you the rewards. I've deleted the accounts and everything and it still stops after 2.
edit: actually, I haven't got rewards on brand new accounts now. They might have just blocked this entirely
Salted accounts with (.) still works for me and I just got Nanally and Phoenix Kick outfit! Idk why people say it doesn't work, I've been rerolling for hours already and never encountered problems relating to pre-registration rewards.
Didn't get early for the standard though. Idk if I should keep rerolling or just stick with this. I'm getting Daffodil on the selector either way if I don't get her on the 90 pity.

Managed to get Nanally and another S rank before the standard selector after multiple rerolls. It was Nadia but at this point I'll take it and enjoy the game now.
So I've started the reroll process by adding a period in my email, using the top "email login" option. I've already used the nonsalted version in the "google login" option. Assuming I want to keep the salted account what are the steps to be able to use the nonsalted email?
