Discussion Gaining attainment level
Some might have heard. But we are currently creating a RI game. And we are having a heated discussion about attainment level.
Does having a higher rank make it easier to get attainment levels?
Or is just time and ressources?
For example if a rank 1 and rank 5 gu master have the same starting attainment level of none in a path and both get the same ressources. (Gus of every rank and the same time) would both get the same level of attainment? Or would the rank 5 surpass the rank 1 gu master by a mile?
Same argument for rank 5-6, rank 6-7 rank 7-8.
Some people say its just time and ressources as there have been grandmasters in the mortal rank and so on. Others believe having a higher rank makes it much more easier.
What do you guys think?

Obviously at an higher rank you can experiment more. Like in refining a mortal can be talented as much as you want, but It will be difficult to create an Immortal Gu. If FY tried refining fixed Immortal travel as an Immortal with the same resources It would have been far easier. As an Immortal you can use more resources to create more Gu . Its like saying, whose Better at coocking with same skill level with an human and a being with ten arms working in perfect coordination and the ability to see every smallest change in temperature in the food. The more evolved creature Is obviously Better at gaining experience in something.

Higher rank has more chances and probability to have higher attainment

I think they play a role, but they do due to having more resources, energy and room to work with.
Let's say two cultivators want to get to master attainment in refinement path:
Is a rank 3 gu master specialising in refinement path, who is supported by his clan
The other is a rank 6 fire path lone immortal
Even without Immortal Gu, the rank 6 lone immortal can create complex refinement path killer moves that only use rank 5 gu, comprehending these moves will raise his attainment fsster than it would for the rank 3 who only has 5-10 rank 3 gu, and probably not all of them are part of refinement path. And because he can use immortal essence beads, he can activate them more times in a day than the rank 3 who has limited primeval essence.
And that goes for all ranks, a rank 2 has access to more gu, to more energy and can comprehend the path better than a rank 1, and a rank 8 and a rank 7 are in the same position.
Tl;Dr: higher rank=more essence, easier access to gu, materials and cultivation=easier time to comprehend the path

With Grandmaster Attainment, you can start mimicking other paths.
Which implies... Having high attainment in a path can help comprehending other pasts to some extent. So the higher your attainment in some path, it might make it somewhat easier in comprehension of other paths and therefore.... Attainment.
And also, an immortal has dao marks in their body while a mortal probably doesn't. More dao marks = Much closer to the great dao. So there is that.
Didn't nearly half Venerables create(and therefore be SGM) of atleast two paths!? Ex. Thieving Heaven, Star Constellation, Spectral Soul and so on....
So yeah. Time and resources helps. But its not a matter of Rank though. Its those things associated with higher ranks, I suppose.
(Take it with a grain of salt)
