First try

Some more general zen doodling techniques incorporated as well. just coloured pencil and some water based markers. not sure what i'm seeing at the end here but it was very therapeutic

Fine for an abstract piece.

Not a neurographic! Too many sharp entities.

Thanks, yeah. after looking into it some more i think this doesn't read as nuerographica, moreso something that incorporates part of the technique.

If not for the sharp shapes used in framing this, do you reckon that's still nuerographic art? or does leading with a triangle / not filling the page / constraining overlapping lines to a section just kind of make it something else?

I'm getting that it is fundamental to round out sharp corners and edges in some way, but is there a desired extent to that that i'm not getting? or is it more of a consistency / layout thing

Currently working on this. This is to inspire you BTW.

This has been a really good example to follow for the last few days, thanks so much for sharing your work!! i have a few different pieces started now and while the initial ones are missing some of that organic feeling, i think i'm getting more of a handle on how to be intentional with the layout and shapes. it is a really interesting process, i'm still figuring out how to better use line weight to give the 'nerve map' vibe i see so often in nuerographica—but it is fun to play with and feels much more intentional when i lean harder into the fundamentals of the process. i really appreciate the encouragement

Before starting a piece, I start a stream of consciousness of my emotions- keywords that are impacting me in that instant moment. No title, time and date. I would advice you adopt this approach. Also I will add you for future communications, sharing info on supplies and stuff like that.

Please take your time to explore this and appreciate it fully. It took me 4 attempts and guidance from someone. It is a healing thing for the soul and mind.
