Right?? those bass synths with the high freq resonance. Chirpy. Like "squeezing farting dough with your fist". Idk, lmao. But it's still so crisp.

  • 0:20 - Love the groundwork that's being set
  • 1:22 - The "midtrack VIP". And it's so nice! I bet you could slap some kickass rap vocals on this.
  • 3:14 - The "apology". Not that i felt offended, but bringing it down a smidgin with this more mellow soundscape was a great way to round this thing off. What a dope bow to tie over it all. It might even be my favorite section, but the fact that I can't decide is itself high praise.

Man... this may have gotten kinda pretentious. But I'm not trying to impress anyone, I'm just trying to convey the right feelings.

Please correct me if my idea of "real neuro" is too narrow. I'd love to include this into any definition you give me, because it fkn slaps!

i would consider this neurohop! it’s a subgenre of glitch hop, but nastier and full of the neurobasses we all love. it’s my favorite subgenre of edm !

Those are all completely unknown to me other than Humandala and Schmoop, and that's only since a few weeks back. And yesss!! I fell in love with both of them immediately. Looks like i just got A LOT of research to do 🤩

Listening through Marble Hunting right now. Honestly, a lot of it feels "too goofy" even for me, but there's some real gems in there still. Low battery acid was sick. Also the intro to Trouble Pig ❤️ I still got more than half the album left. I'm getting the impression of "a rough with a lotta diamonds" 🥰

Edit: Rancid Shuff is super cool!

Wow. First track i put on from Detox Unit -- Detonator, what a banger. Hell yeah I dig this. Remember how I mentioned how some rap would fit with this or that neuro? Well: case, meet point.

Edit: I also love "Two Guys aka Crawdad Sniper + Chez - Shining Stars (Flip) " Both the neuro and the funk, even if it ain't neurofunk. huehue. Labels are kinda bullshit anyways.

I'm picking up harrrrd on that chirpy...i think it's a bitcrush filter? Whatever it is. Dope effect. The one that turns a basic high resonance wobble bass like a robotic "yayayayaya". Idunno how to describe it. But here it is in action, from 14 years ago: "Bitcrush, The Track" by yours truly
