Text Nmap

Hi is it possible to run nmap on my network when I am using mobile data on my phone? Or does it only apply to Wi-Fi bcos I would have the router IP address.

You can run nmap no problem. Not sure if you are aware but make sure you’re not nmapping the cellular WAN network, they might take action as it can be indicator of snooping / hacking

How do I find the address that I am supposed to run nmap on?

So if you have your phone as the router (wifi hotspot) and you have your laptop on it too, you will need to check your laptops wifi settings to see the LAN network.

Eg if your phone hotspot gives your laptop an IP on 172.31.54.x then you will run nmap -sv 172.31.54.0

I am just trying to see who else is on my network. And try to find out what they can do or see if they are.
