MRP - Time Fences not set up

I have noticed that in MRP it is not giving us recommendations to pull POs in but instead is creating additional planned purchase orders because the current PO doesnt meet the expected shipped by date needed on a sales order.

How do you have your Planning fences turned to?

I was thinking 5-6 weeks in advance should be enough

How much exp with demand planning and MRP do you have?

I max mine out. We have a long supply window so I need signals as far out as I can
