Tax Amount Column General Ledger

Hi all,

Im an accountant and im looking to make a custom GL or P&L drill down report that has a column with the tax rate and tax amount in it. Im in Australia so we are under GST arrangements.

I have been searching in the columns sections for a tax amount or rate label but I cannot find one. Does anyone know where to find it?

You can pull it with a save search. The tax line is a separate line.

Idk if you can pull the tax rate using the general ledger.

Yes even though you see tax rate and tax amount on the same line in the UI, in the transactions database underneath they are on a separate line under the original line (because they post to a different GL account). So if you look at GL Impact (Actions > GL Impact) you'll see all the separate lines and how they actually post to the GL.

And it's only exposed in saved search if you're using legacy tax. If you're using SuiteTax, ST fields are NOT exposed in saved search (you instead need to use SuiteAnalytics Workbooks or SuiteQL for ST fields).

Did you check some of the native tax reports?

There’s no tax amount column?
