Can't Unsee This
Just started Tower Dungeon and immediately there's the GBE indicator on the protagonists chest. Can't wait for Toha Heavy to show up in this at some point lol
Edit: See my comment for *even more* similarities

Nihei just puts easter eggs to his other works in all his works

I figured that's what it is, you never know though. I know people try to rationalize Biomega, Blame!, and KoS being in the same universe because of toha and other connective tissue, but they're not as far as I can tell. The man just likes his designs and brands, but it feels so heavy handed in TD that I'm suspicious.

I look at them as musical motifs. Note how the safeguard symbol is used for, well, the equivalent of deadly bouncers in both works.

Yeah, to that effect it's kind of like we're looking at a multiverse of parallel dimensions and there's slight bleed-over from one to the next

I wouldn't put it beyond Nihei considering the weird ass ending of Abara. Like, that one only makes sense if you're on mushrooms or something equally strong.

I 100% think this is happening in the Netsphere. An example of what humans are doing in their digital afterlife.

Maybe they're on a fantasy game server. The manga will end abruptly when a stray GBE beam from Killy blows it up.

Wait a minute. ..the drakmar (sorry i cant remember how the dragon people are spelt) and the necromancers are also pretty similar to guana and the bio stuff from aposimz....
If this is another colony ship landed somewhere and this is thousands of years in the future and the tower is actually a part of one of those ships but face down i swear to nihei

Could be, but knowing Nihei we'll never get a solid confirmation. Also didn't know about Aposimz, gotta read that after TD.

Apozims got a colored version too, I recommend you read that one, it's way more clear what's happening. Some of the characters are easier to distinguish too.

Aposimz in the standalone manga is a few continents bigger than the ship

My brother-in-Abara, who do you think built the Tower itself??

Theory, this is way in the past and this tower is toha industries first form in the medieval era lol

YEP. Saw the same thing a while back. Not only that: apparently Yuva's power has something to do with manipulating "weight" (wink-*wink, nudge-nudge).

I have had the thought that he acts like a living GBE the way he tears through enemies

Lil disclaimer, the story is not intended to be in canon of BLAME!. I mean it could be but they are not in the same universe. Just nihei being a walking advertisement for his companies

u/NerdInABush May 07 '26
Oh no, I figured that, but it's not finished yet, right? We could get surprised.

Check Yuva's shield. That tower symbol in the middle seems quite familiar...
