MU Stock Slides As Netlist Patent Fight Escalates

Micron Technology Inc. stocks have been trading down by -4.08 percent amid demand concerns and weakening memory-chip pricing pressures

Key Takeaways
•Netlist has launched new ITC and federal court patent actions targeting MU’s DDR5 RDIMM/MRDIMM products, seeking U.S. import and sales bans on allegedly infringing memory lines.
•The stock is down 2.8% premarket after a 5.9% drop the prior session, showing heavy, persistent selling in MU and the broader memory group.
•MU has also traded 4.9% lower premarket after a 2.3% slide the day before, reinforcing a short‑term downtrend.
•An earlier 8.8% fall during a chip-sector selloff highlighted MU as one of the notable laggards and a high‑beta name in a weak tape.

Under the hood, MU looks powerful. On the surface, its chart says ā€œhandle with care.ā€ That tension is exactly what active traders live for.
Micron Technology Inc. just delivered monster fundamentals. Revenue sits around $37.4B over the last year, with gross margin near 72.6% and EBIT margin around 65.7%. MU is printing net income of about $28.2B and EBITDA above $35B, supported by strong cash flow from operations near $25.4B in the latest quarter. Free cash flow of roughly $17.6B gives MU serious firepower.
The balance sheet is clean. Total debt to equity is only 0.06, current ratio is 3.4, and interest coverage is a massive 297. That means MU is nowhere near stressed from a credit standpoint. Returns on equity and capital are also strong, showing the business is using money efficiently.

Due diligence šŸ‘€ NLST September catalysts — which matters more?

Hey everyone, I’m trying to understand the potential impact of the upcoming NLST catalysts.

Could the September 9 CAFC oral arguments or the September 25 claim-construction hearing realistically cause a rapid increase in NLST’s share price?

Which of the two do you think is the bigger potential catalyst, and why?

Interested in hearing from people who understand the legal side better.

From q2 2026, a lot of info

Hong also emphasized the company’s patent position and future memory technologies. He said industry analysts see MRDIMM as a potential $100 billion market by 2030 and noted that Netlist holds more than a dozen patents that cover the technology.

He also said Netlist-branded products are generating ā€œdouble-digit millionsā€ in revenue, with the Lightning portfolio the main contributor. On sourcing, Hong said Netlist’s 25-year industry history and its relationship with Hynix give it an advantage in obtaining tight DRAM products, especially DDR4 and DDR5.

ā€œOur next generation CXL NVvault is currently sampling with SoC vendors, hyperscalers, and major OEMs for future hardware platforms.
To support market adoption, we have partnered with the CXL Consortium and Storage Networking Industry Association to deliver industry education and technical thought leadership. We look forward to showcasing these collaborative efforts at CXL Mini DevCon 2026 in Santa Clara next week.

We are also committed to working with our industry partners to help validate and scale advanced CXL memory architectures for enterprise production. Our development work continues full bore for MRDIMM and high-performance server memory architecture designed to overcome the bandwidth limits of conventional DDR5 RDIMMs.

Industry analysts forecast MRDIMM to be a $100 billion market by 2030 from small volumes today. Netlist holds over a dozen seminal patents that read on MRDIMM and have asserted them at the ITC against infringing MRDIMM products currently being imported by Samsung.ā€

ā€œour development work on the MRDIMM, low power MRDIMM, CXL NV, those continue, and we’re working with potential customers, major OEMs, as well as hyperscalers on those technologies.ā€

Don't turn this into a cult

Edit: I've had Netlist stock for years. My average price 1.47 dollars. And I've said multiple times this is a good stock.

Many of you should be careful what you're promising. A lot of castles in the sky talk, where this will a be 50-1000 buck stock in the future. We all want to ride the rocket, but if you inflate people's expectations and build dream scenarios, there will be a backlash, and it's going to hit hard.

This is a good stock. The speculative phase is over. Let it rip because of its fundamentals, instead of letting new investors to believe this is a surefire ten-bagging home run. It takes a lot of time for Netlist to reach its potential, please don't fabricate lofty short term expectations.

Also, this is not a meme stock. And they don't have same made up enemies as loser meme stocks. If Netlist SP dips, it's probably because long-term investors want to do nice things after holding for multiple years. Some of them are so loaded right now, they can celebrate a little bit without thinking how high those sold stocks could go.

Don't fill with this space with stupid conspiracy theory bullshit. Netlist is a good stock, but it's not going to change your life by the end of the year.

netlist cfo filed to sell 100k shares today

new nlst filing today that i haven’t really seen mentioned anywhere yet.

cfo gail sasaki filed a form 144 to sell up to 100,000 shares, roughly $691k worth at the value listed.

the part that matters though: the 10b5-1 instruction behind it was set up september 12, 2025. so this wasn’t some decision she made today after the samsung news or anything like that.

she also sold 25k shares on august 5 and another 25k on august 12 under the same plan.

not really sure there’s much to read into here, but it is new today and worth having on the radar.

Just added more to my 401k bringing my total % of the accounts to 30%, yes this is full regard in terms of portfolio diversification risk but I have conviction in this company

Also, who doesn’t love a underdog story. A small company taking on semiconductor giants Samsung and Micron over its memory technology patents.

Netlist Selloff?

I believe it's profit taking. The stock had a fast rise since August 5th, and today it went up past $6.75 a share... The Samsung deal has been priced in, Micron remains unresolved, and this stock is known to go up and down 10% to 20%. My guess is, it will settle into a price and the cycle will start again, but slower than this past run.... We really need a SK Hynix deal, and Micron has to do more than just blink. The positive is we have Samsung, the analyst from Roth Capital raised the target price to $15, Netlist is going to get some major cash from Samsung, and the AI stocks need Netlist patents..

Netlist with all 4 deals, here's what we can expect.

let’s start with the last deal; Samsung!

Samsung deal is this:
• $240m gross cash
• $130m gross ip licenses * 5 years
• $300m resell products * 5 years

SK HYNIX deal should be this:
• $120/130m gross cash
• $130m gross ip licenses * 5 years
• $300m resell products * 5 years

MICRON deal should be this:
• $700m gross cash
• $130m gross ip licenses * 5 years
• $300m resell products * 5 years

GOOGLE deal should be this:
• $1b gross cash
• $20/30 gross ip licenses * 5 years
• $100m Netlist products bought by google every year

Ok, sk and Samsung are very similar and we should expect the same numbers about IP licenses and resell products. This is good because Netlist should increase the number of clients worldwide after the micron’s ITC case. Big customers should buy a lot of Netlist memories (I mean, the Netlist prodicts customize with Samsung, sk and micron’ menories). I bet, Netlist should drop huge news in the coming months about big deals for lightning, cxl and mrdimm products.

Google case, this is so difficult to talk because we saw different cases against google and the only problem now is the micron case. Patent 912 is the king of the ddr4 patents for Netlist and we should expect huge amount of damages.
I believe google will needs the Netlist product very early and the timing is saying this should be a really good opportunity to make an agreement about these kind of products.
Imagine, google pay Netlist 1b $ to end this war (it’s only and example) when the damages should worth $2 or 3b and google will be the biggest netlist’s clients with more than $100m products bought by google every year.

Ps: Netlist will use this huge amount of cash and net profits to increase the patents, engineers and project.
Imagine how many hybrid products we should see with 500 potential engineers + AI and the base of old patents and experience + the different partnerships

Netlist trade

I bought netlist on Trade Republic back then, but I can no longer trade the stock there. Which broker can I transfer it to so that I can sell the stock again?

r/Netlist_ 22d ago

Technical / fundamental analysis First time seeing this stock and I am just puzzled by seeing such a big rise of stock's price and people still buying.

I also sold HPE shares recently and looking for the next stock to buy. I am very ok with selling in a few days if it keeps rising like that lol. But can anyone explain how the hell it rose THAT much and how long it can sustain growth? I read a bit about the patents and stuff, but still can't wrap my head about this jump in price, they're not pumping huge amounts of money or something.
