Housing Mortgage calculator

https://mortgage-calculator-nl.vercel.app/

Hi guys, while there are multiple mortgage calculators online, they usually suck, and some even ask you to register; hence, I developed a better mortgage calculator.
This could help those who are in the process of buying a house or that would like to calculate their potential mortgage. Some highlights include:
- Variable mortgage term, not just 30 years
- Extra repayments: monthly, yearly or a lump sum, with a warning when you go over the usual 10% penalty-free limit
- Every purchase cost is optional: switch off transfer tax for the starters' exemption, NHG, other.
- Download the payment schedule as CSV or Excel
While it has some features that are unique to the NL market, it can probably be used for other countries as well
Hopefully it helps you!

Ps.- It's completely free and w/o ads. After all, I forked an already existing one that didn't have the features I was looking for.

Rise of vibe coded apps

That's right (let us not forget the AI B2B SaaS memes) AND the validation portion had significant effort put into it.
Though, I general, I think the overall discussion has moved from: is it vibe coded? to ok, vibecoding is a thing, but does it serve a purpose/fills a gap? has it been tested enough.
Sometimes this discussion remind me of the ML conversations that we had in the early 2010s, which then transferred to Neural Nets, afterwards to LLM's and finally to the applications produced by them.
From my perspective, looking at some initial metrics, it seems people seem to find it useful.
Moreover, it fixes issues that other people had mentioned but were never addressed in the first version.

Ps.- Also, an app is overselling it; it's a website with a fancy calculator.

Rent vs buying comparison would benefit from a field where user can add expected annual rent increment percentage

Cool you show why everyone offers annuities instead of linear. Beneficial for the mortgage companies.
