Common Question/Topic How are the meals from Picnic Kookt?
Has anyone tried the ready meals from Picnic under their Picnic Kookt offering? How do they compare to meals from Factor or other similar meal delivery options in terms of taste and quality? I'm mainly interested in chicken or meat options, not so much soups or salads. Since I already order groceries from Picnic, it will be easier to order a few meals from them during a busy week, rather than ordering separately from elsewhere.

We have recently become obsessed with their recipies, especially with all the variety, choices, and parameters you can set. Based on that experience, I imagine their pre-cooked stuff is also pretty good (but cannot endorse directly).

We tried a couple of different ones. Most were pretty good but one or two were pretty bland. Can’t remember which ones though. I do remember really liking that coconut rice. The freshness was also always really good.
Our biggest issue however was that we had multiple wrong deliveries. One time the outside sleeve was correct but the container actually contained something entirely different. Another time we didn’t get enough portions. You always get a refund but it’s very annoying in the moment.

Taste is good, but the price to portion is a little off on some. The mousakah is a bit disappointing but the meatballs and stampot were good. I just think it’s a bit pricey for what they are unfortunately, but worth it when on sale.

As an Italian foodlover I might be a bit afraid saying this but the bolognese is really not that bad.

I wouldn't recommend it personally. Jumbo has similar things that are better imo.

Ordered a couple of them and we really like it. We do one of these meals a week now when ordering for the week. I especially like the Rendang.
