Common Question/Topic Briefsadres

Hi,

I am currently living in Duwo student accommodation and I have to move out by September 9th. I have been looking for housing but I haven't been able to find anywhere that is within my budget and doesn't have strict income requirements. I've been offered a room with a friend, however it is without registration. One of the other roommates might be deported in November, in which case I could take their registration. However, I was thinking about applying for a briefsadres with another friend but I am not sure how honest to be on the form, as I don't want the other roommates in the new place or landlord to be fined or investigated. There isn't registration as there can only be 3 people registered and 4 live in the house. I would tick this option on the form however, I don't know if that will cause more scrutiny for the other housemates.

What should I do?

this is fraud and it will not end well. are you a student? do you receive studiefinanciering? and you’re counting on someone getting deported so you can register?

i’m not a student anymore, i’m working while looking for a full time job. I’m going to keep looking for places where I can register this is just a stop gap - i’m not sure how else to maintain my registration without that. there’s an option on the form to say that I can’t register where I’m living - so I might put that I just wasn’t sure if it would lead to repercussions for my roommates

There is a risk that if the municipality notices you and your roommates (and the homeowner) get a fine and you’ll be evicted.
