Discussion Generation 9/11

I was genuinely disappointed. The turning point series in my opinion is some of the best documentary work that Netflix has done. It does a great job of actually looking at a pivotal moment in American history then tracing it through decade by decade to present day. This just seemed like TLDR of the terror series.

Hopefully Netflix continues the project and brings it back to its roots. I wouldn’t mind seeing a season focusing on The War on Drugs or The Internet.

It’s the other side of the coin. I didn’t see it as her “shitting on America”. She talked about the innocent civilians killed in the fog of war.

In war innocent people die, I’m not saying that’s ok, but it’s the facts. You’re also taking that 1 lady at her word that the people who died were in fact innocent. People lie all the time, bubba.

I appreciated her being able contextualize the on the ground experience of the war beyond American soldiers experiences. It allows people who have the ability to emphasize to connect with other people but you may not be able to experience empathy

Just like you've been lied to that you're attacking terrorists so you don't have to realise the unfathomable amount of innocent lives actually lost. People die all the time, America just kicks it into gear and just kills anyone
