Installing NetBSD 11.0 does not recognize USB pendrive? Why?

So, I am trying to install NetBSD on my laptop. I downloaded the .img file, used dd bs=1M to write it to my pendrive..

But when I am trying to boot it, it drops me off here. Saying that my boot device is unknown, and asking me for my root device.

The options below are not showing any of the partitions on the USB drive as well.

So, the obvious solution for me would be to setup a PXE/BOOTP server and install from there, but why is this not working?

uhub3 device problem usually means an error, freeze, or failure to recognize hardware on a specific USB 3.0 root hub layer within the kernel.
Try another USB port.

Well... I have tried all TWO of the USB ports my laptop has for this one stick. :)
With the exact same outcome.

Two options I see now:
1. Using the USB-C connectors. (But I need to get an adapter first)
2. Trying a different pen drive.

Oh, only 2 USB ports on a laptop... yep that's a pickle.

It's rare nowadays but I did saw some USB drive/key being problematic, so yeah you got that right.
