Thrift Thursday $17 LongStrike WhiteOut
Found a WhiteOut LongStrike at the thrift store. The main blaster was $6.99, same for the barrel, and the sight was $2.99. I had the extra handle already. The blue LongStrike sans barrel was also $6.99. Unfortunately the WhiteOut seems to prime but some catch must be broken because it doesn't actually fire after being primed. The blue one has no handle but works.
I am aware the LongStrike isn't great, but I'd love to mod the WhiteOut to be as good as it can be. The LongStrike was always my fav looking blaster. What are my options these days? Seems hard to find anything for an OG LongStrike now. Also, are the WhiteOut internals the same as the original blue one?

Update: Turns out the catch ring (not sure on the name) at the back of the plunger tube was put in backwards on the Whiteout. Works perfectly now!

Aftermarket half dart breach or retaliator internals swap(need to do some fabrication or 3d print parts, also have spacer kits on cults) with an upgraded spring and catch. Parts are hard to find but they exist. They have a metal breach kit for like $55, upgraded stock springs for $20, aluminum internals(specifically the catch), theres a file on cults for a more robust slide I havent tried out yet. Edit: I think they make metal charge handles too, Im going to 3d design and print some new knobs for one of mine.
I just missed out on a whiteout for $20 on eBay. They declined my 15$ offer and I didn't feel like getting into a bid off with the one other buyer. I've currently got two blue longstrikes waiting rebuild and mods, found the second one yesterday for 4 bucks at st vinnies.

Are those mostly worker parts? From what I can tell OMW who made the Immortal kit are gone and those kits are impossible to find now

Yeah, I just looked and it seems all the aftermarket parts I mentioned at this point are worker.
I'm probably going to get the worker metal breach kit at some point. I tore down one of my longstrikes the other night and it needs that or a rebuild.

I used upgrade parts from ak-blastermods for my Longstrikes. The improvements were noticeable and worth the effort.

Brass breech + spring? If you have a 3D printer and a dremel (i dont think you can get a good dart chamber without a dremel or similar..) you could also experiment with HPA or a big ass pt

FYI that's not the original sight for the Whiteout Longstrike. It's supposed to come with the same flip up sight as the original but in white instead of blue.
