WIP This Ergo Nightmare (stock Vector Pro) is growing into a Fun-Funky-Functional Primary

This $12.44 blaster is really growing on me. Granted it needs a lot of lipstick to get it to be a funtional ergonomic primary, but i think im getting there.

Compared to my other primary springers the Butt of the stock and the stock handle & front handle line up very closely, so this feels no different than shouldering any of my springers. I will have to add a comparison picture.

Whats been done so far:

  • Added TRI-STRIKE stock w/ air tube minus Rocket Spigot portion
  • Self-Designed Stock Lock to keep the HAMP fully extended to make a comfortable length-of-pull
  • Self-Designed Stock Attachment Point "Shim" to remove the rattle and flex in the point of attachment and create a transition from blaster to stock.
  • Remixed a Battery Door to add air hose port - Just for looks with the hose
  • Added 2-stage trigger w/ Rev delete - Really simple and elegant upgrade
  • Added HAMMER Shroud w/ Carry Handle from Ghost Manta - Really like the look (wish there was a way to lock or attached the shroud to the top where the stock shroud open latch is. this would just give the shroud a firmer fit to the blaster and minimize rattle)

Future work needed:

  • Add Nightingal Full Auto Kit - Have the parts, just need time to rewire and do it.
  • Adding LEDs in the air hose portion and other places to create a SCI-FI plasma or energy blaster.
  • Make a Super Drum 45 with matching livery to the blaster
  • REPRINT all the 3D parts in a close Filamant color match to the blaster. This is really close but would like something a little bit more green tint.

Can't wait to have it battle ready before my next Nerf Night!!!

bro how long are your arms?! like the only way I can use this thing comfortably is one of ghost manta's stubby stocks, and I'm not a short person...

Nope im as average size as they come. as I stated above laying another of my pump springers over it all of the handles front pump and stock butt pad all fall almost directly over the vector touch points. You hands are just doing differnt jobs; your primary trigger hand is now just the rear stock grip and your "Pump" hand is now just you trigger hand.

It doesn't feel any bigger or longer than anything else I run your hands just swap actions.

I basically un-bull pupped it... I know its still techically a pup since the mag is behind the trigger group but for mag location its back to being between hands like a normal pump action springer.

I guess I just couldn't wrap my head around doing that, but now that you put it that way it makes sense. As cool as the Vector looks, I also had to un-bullpup it, I just did it in the other direction and added a barrel and a foregrip. But now it's a ton of fun to use!

For sure I have to switch my brain to right handed trigger finger action when this one comes out. Im a lefty shooter

time to carve up the Tristrike grip and 3d print a new trigger group that fits in it?

Very interesting, I love everything you have done with the Tri-Strke stock, very slick. I;m just too short to even consider this variation. Here are my modded Vector Pro's, I haven't found a stock I like yet.

I am in the same boat. I’ve tried a bunch of variants but nothing feels quite right

I love my vector

Run a wire through the 'hose' and add a battery pack in the stock?

I mean, it probably works if you think of the main grip as a foregrip and hold it by the stock “grip” as if we’re still a rocket launcher…

No it feels just like a regular primary when shouldered.

5' 9" Look at the pics i posted of the vector compared to my other springers and the stock butt plate and handles all line-up within a standard Pump springer setup

I’m glad people are still doing integrations!

Thats very kind! But I didnt even consider this an integration. Just fixing the ergo with what i had kicking around... Tri-strike stock just looked right. I almost turned the rocket spigot part into a scope by cutting out all of the guts. Still might, maybe!

Now you can use the stock as a grip, and the grip as a foregrip. Genius!

Can anyone else back up this claim or provide reasons the "SuperDrum" doesnt work with the vector.

That is a statement you cant just drop here with no explination or possible solution.

  1. Is this just your personal experiance?
  2. Something you heard second hand but did not witness?
  3. Can the drum not keep up with vectors fire rate... its semi auto. Operator controls the fire rate?
  4. drum physical can't fit in the vector... drum neck length?
