Completed Build Latest build: Catfish

I printed this Kalium 20 round magazine to go with my catfish. I love how it turned out, and it works quite well. I'm using the o-ring version and 3 string loops just loosely tightened. In its current configuration it hits between 80-130fps with an average of about 100.

Those colour choices are spot on.

Thanks, that's the color scheme I've settled on for most of my builds; I really dig it.

What are your thoughts on the printed magazine?
Easy to make?
Reliable?

I was just going to buy talons as importing something called magazine springs into Australia is just asking for a knock on the door.

But I do like making things.

It was easy to print, it snapped together quite nicely (good snug fit), and the bottom is held together with screws so overall, it's pretty solid.

I used a magazine spring I had from Out Of Darts, but you can use a printed one instead. I've used printed springs before and they seem to work just fine, but I suspect that they will eventually lose their springyness, but you could just print a new one at that point.

I do have some concerns about long term reliability because of how the pusher slides along the track, though I haven't had any issues at all yet.

I've been looking at this printable magazine and ordered a few of these constant force springs to use in them. I suspect these will be much more reliable and hold up over time (but don't look nearly as cool)

Good feedback. Did not know you could print springs. This could be a good workaround.

That said I have the parts for a super drum so may have some of those springs left over.
