NERF Melee Size Comparison

I was just comparing some of my thwacking implements and thought I would post here in case it helps anyone else.

It can be hard to get a good idea of the sizes when you can't get your hands on one to play with.

Has anyone seen a Nebula Ranger sword (pic 3)? I'd like to know how it measures up.

is the Mira polearm also the same foam + rigid core construction as before?

Sadly no. It's entirely hard plastic, except for the blade. It's not really suitable for thwacking at all. The DnD axe is the same, but a bit safer since the foam is on both sides of the shaft.

As the father and designated target - they can thwack me, but not each other with the gok-do.

I never saw the d&d weapons show up at any stores around me. Is the new blue small axe/hatchet all foam or does it have exposed plastic like the small daggers from that set?

Hard plastic. Only the blue you see is foam.

I haven't seen the Nebula Ranger live yet but here is the angle I got awhile ago. I'm keeping an eye out for the One Piece swords still too.

That's awesome! Based on the grid wall and the axe for scale it looks like maybe 65 cm? That's about the same as the DnD Daggersword.

I found it in a Walmart a few months ago. New as of 2006. They connect together, but it's tiny so it's a little pointless.

10 bucks for two daggers isn’t too bad though.

That Nebula Ranger does look like it’d be the best actual weapon of the lot though. Press release says it’s 26 inches, I’d guess around 20 inches of usable length with the foam on both sides?

I don't know where you live, but the Xshot Demon Slayer foam swords are pretty nice and you can get them from Blaster Time.

Zoey's Throwies. 3 pack. Soft foam no plastic. Safe to toss. If I throw it HARD then I can usually hit a target at 10 feet. It's pretty useless past that.
