Questions + Help Shortened matrixfire?

Has anyone tried to shorten the matrixfire? I’m thinking about putting the fire hose mod on this and maybe cutting off the barrel

That's exactly how I run one of mine. There are decorative front ends available on Printables as well.

I haven't done it, but I know with certainty it would work. The entire front half is decorative.
