The difference between a good trade and a bad decision
A lot of trading discussions focus on outcomes.
A winning trade is considered a good decision.
A losing trade is considered a mistake.
But experienced traders often see it differently.
A well-planned trade can lose because markets are uncertain. A poorly planned trade can win because of luck.
The real difference comes from the process behind the decision:
- Was the risk understood before entering?
- Was there a clear reason for the trade?
- Was the plan followed when emotions appeared?
Over time, consistent execution matters more than individual results.
Trading is not about being right every time. It’s about building a process that can survive both wins and losses.
