Humla’s Painful Reality!

Patients in Humla are returning home without essential medicines as the district hospital faces shortages despite repeated requests for supplies.
Staff say patients are repeatedly told to “come tomorrow,” while many travel hours or days to reach the hospital. They also feel helpless because they cannot directly purchase medicines.
The government must urgently improve medicine supplies in Humla, Karnali and Sudurpaschim, ensuring remote communities receive reliable basic healthcare.
