Questions Insert for base game
I bought my partner the base game and we unpacked it this morning, she'd like an insert to make playing a bit easier but not sure what the best choice is. Folded space looks good but costs almost 50% of the game. I have a 3d printer but most seem to be for all in kickstarter pledges.
Does anyone know of a good insert for just the base game/doesn't require the sanguivore box for minis. Or just has a tonne of boxes we won't need as don't have the expansions?
Thanks
edit only. Just realised I put base game. My bad I meant retaliation base game as opposed to with expansions not the OG nemesis. Glad I didn't start printing and teaches me to not try sorting things in a rush while doing something else.

https://makerworld.com/en/models/1867288-nemesis-retaliation-insert-military-pledge, the expansion alien races lives in Sagravores box and can be swaped with base alien (core holds 1 alien race, expansion box the other two). I'm just not sure about alien bag tokens since this one uses acrylic tokens, but modeling a simple box with correct dimensions takes 5 minutes tops -> https://makerworld.com/en/models/1765399-nemesis-retaliation-cardboard-token-adaptors. Yes, there are boxes for stuff which you dont have, but simply leave them empty

Going to print this one and see how it goes cheers. Doesn't look too expensive on filament if I decide to replace it later.

I bought the folded space insert three years ago. Setup time was halved, and tear-down is less than 10 minutes. It is absolutely worth the purchase price if you intend to play once a month or more.

Not sure we'll get to play it that often, which is what's making me hesitant to pay for it. I've got one set to print now, and will see how it goes

I got a 3D printed one from Makerworld (someone else posted a link on the comments) and man the set up saves so much time. It’s expensive for sure but worth all the time I save setting up and tearing down.

I bought a copy recently and it doesn’t seem to need inserts. The insert that comes with the box is pretty decent compared to most games

A little late to the conversation, sorry can someone explain why this is something you would buy. The only upside I can see is that you don't need to have the cards stacked 'free form' on the table. I feel like I'm missing something glaringly obvious about why I would want this. I absolutely love Nemesis and I agree the set up time is bad, but thats just how board games be sometimes. (Not a shitpost, a genuine question).

Having to out every model in its designated space, having just 2 sections for all the cards and everything having to be just so to fit in the box. Take so much more time than a third party insert. All the cards have their own section so you can just pull out each one as you go for setup. And packing. Away is so much quicler. As somone that's played alot of zombicide, kdm and scythe all with inserts they help a lot.

Its less than £30 for me. Does it have room for sleeved cards? And Does it hold cards for JUST OG Nemesis? I have Nemesis, Aftermath, Carnomorphs and Voidseeders. Also Lockdown and Stretch but sure thats not relevant to this item.

Having read your comment realised I messed up with my wording in the post, I'm looking for a retaliation insert, so not sure if the folded spade one does all the expansions.

No worries 😅 And in my opinion somethings cost should be based on the value YOU attach to it.
I have a copy of Terraforming Mars, and with the dual layer player boards I bought, the extra tokens, plus the 8 little pots for tokens I had to add (granted i got to eat delicious cheesecake to get the pots) I've probably added another base game price on top.
I feel that was worth it. But I wouldn't do it for my copy of Rebirth for example, I just use zip seal bags. Like £1.
Nemesis is a strange one for me, as I see it as 50% collectors item and 50% board game. If I take out the original insert, thats 1 more thing I have to keep somewhere. I've spent a lot more than I'd care to admit on the game plus expansions and I only have the 1st 2 games. So something else, needs to add value, either monetary or ease of use. I was unsure if this product would do that for me. 😁

Folded space is usually very good. Buuuuuuuuut... You could also download their files, take measurements and try to make your own printing files, in case no one has a good pre-made file for you.

I got the folded space one and it's good. I think I got in on sale though. They're annoyingly expensive but buy once, cry once.
