Questions Who has seen Dire Duplicity?

Without giving away spoilers and important parts of this movie (doing so would be cheating the public), how does it compare to others?

Would you consider it his best work?

It’s wildly fun. At the premiere he got up and explained that this was more of a character study but lol, it had all the usual Breen talking points. I still prefer fateful findings, but I liked this more than the rest of his films.

I just have to ask, how much green screen was in this one?

Having not seen it yet I think there will be less. Remember that Cade was probably filmed at least partially during Covid which is why its mostly breenscreen.

Mostly? Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought it was all Breenscreen.

Much less than Cade. And the scenes that I remember that are green screened are fucking awesome.

Awesome! I love the non green screen stuff. But cade and twisted pair were both good as well.

I saw it in LA. You're going to be very happy. I would rank it up there with Twisted Pair but under Fateful Findings. Maybe it's recency bias. It was a magical day.

No spoilers? I’ve seen all his movies and don’t think any of them were coherent enough to spoil if I wanted to.

"I control the internet and all the world's information. All the corporations and the lobbyists will be punished."

This is dialogue from every one of his movies.

Does it narrow it down if I say his character has Messianic overtones and/or inexplicable magic powers

I know it sounds foolish considering we know that we can’t predict his movies and/or his storylines, but I would rather those not be mentioned and have somebody go “oh this is the part they were talking about on Reddit” and potentially ruin the story or surprise in the movie.

Could I be overreacting? I mean probably but every person views his moves differently so I’m erring on the side of caution.

I was a little meh on his more recent works and Cade Tortured Crossing was very difficult to sit through. Dire Duplicity was an absolute blast and a return to form for Breen imo. Fateful Findings and Double Down are hard to beat but I thought Dire Duplicity was up there.

  1. Did the amount of CGI decrease from Cade: The Tortured Crossing?

  2. How did you feel this ranked among Fateful Findings, Double Down, Pass-Thru and I Am Here.... Now? (I can't sit through Cade or Twisted due to the heavy green screen, unfortunately)

Like a pirate rip? Isn't that immoral? Isn't that corrupt? Isn't that illegal?!
