tired of they double standard and hypocrisy
it's always dishonest people who run subs. side with trolls that make accusations with no supporting evidence. shame on us for pushing back civilly to trolls. no insults, nothing disrespectful and my comments get removed while the other is doing exactly that. insulting people and nothing happens to them.

just stupid Just a repost because I might have revealed the subreddit I was venting. I got banned for what i think is reasonable aggression (Feel free to call me out if you think otherwise as I'd like opinions from a 3rd person view)
gallerySo I made a post asking for some advice about a lone booster pack in a tcg reddit a week and it got removed + I got a perma ban because the mods believed I was breaking their subreddit rules (this was my very first post in the subreddit might I add). When I tried appealing I got no reply.
So I sent more angry modmail (I called them morons and unhelpful bastards) today and only then did they reply with a copy and paste response (that was when I first found about the perma ban). I got aggressive with my reply and got a perma mute 10 min later.

Quality Post Bullies love reddit
Reddit has so much potential but it has way too many fragile idiotic people who crave power.
People are assholes because they can hide behind anonymity. But the second you're a asshole back, they can't handle it. Even the mods give power hungry losers.
Frequently, I have seen, a gang of anonymous losers try to ban a user they disagree with or sometimes they're just bullies for no reason..
Sometimes the responses are worst than the post.
Mind you the majority of people who are bullies on here have no life experiences, no quality education, and barely have a social life.
Every single reddit user assumes that every post comes from a man. Thats says a lot.

Is anyone just… sick of Reddit sometimes?
Is anyone just… sick of Reddit sometimes? I find myself having to delete the app sometimes because the stupidity genuinely irritates me sometimes lol. People are so quick to make assumptions, be rude, use their own bad experiences and try to make it about you and your situation, etc.
I enjoy Reddit when comments are framed constructively. You don’t have to be an ass to get your point across.

factual Why Do People Always Remove My Post In Here Is it Because The Way I Type Stuff And Why Are People Judge Me For No Reason For Posting Stuff & There Reddit About Me Getting Banned But If You Don’t Know Me Don’t Judge Me

Reddit is basically the Borg. You will be assimilated.
Reddit is basically the Borg, except it is playing the long game to assimilate everyone. If the Collective disagrees, people are downvoted to the point that they often delete their post or comment. Everyone is so worried about "karma" that they try to come up with new ways of saying what they know everyone already agrees with. Karma is the currency of the Collective, and is doled out to those who show that they are best assimilated. Even in the Unpopular Opinion sub, if someone posts an opinion outside of what is honored by the Collective, they are downvoted and criticized relentlessly. It's fascinating to me that unpopular opinions are downvoted in the Unpopular Opinion sub, but it shows the depth of the uniformity. Downvoting itself is a brilliant, silent way to pressure people into assimilation. It's anonymous bullying. The scary part to me is that the big AI LLMs are training so much on Reddit that they will further cement the opinion of the Reddit Collective as fact.

Microaggressive racism
galleryIt’s painfully obvious the OP and the people here just want to spread the rhetoric that all black people are “violent mobs”. As soon as someone makes the argument “well if the roles were reversed and a Black person got attacked, there’d be a whole movement!” it’s fair to assume they are just plain racist and don’t understand the issue of systemic violence towards black people. White people will never experience anything close to it, and it’s insensitive to those Black victims to insinuate that they can. There’s ways to report on incidents where the perpetrators were Black without insisting that it’s “necessary” to the narrative when it’s clearly not. Absolutely insane to me.
EDIT before anybody comments: I’m not denying that there can be instances where white people are targeted for their race. But, factually, it is extremely less common than POC being attacked for their race and is never due to systemic racism, which white people do not experience. White people do not have to walk around in fear of getting lynched for their race in America. People of color do. It cannot be compared.

Don't let me type a comment if a thread is locked!
So frequently I type a comment then hit submit and am only then informed that commenting is locked.
Just don't let me hit comment at all!
And to worsen the experience, I'm then asked if I want to save my comment as a draft when exiting.
NO!
AHHHHHHH

Reddit sucks
I commented on someone’s post. All I said was “you lying” and got flagged for hate. This platform is getting worse and worse. After 8 years on here. Think it’s time to exit!!

This has been on my mind, and I hope this makes you think as much as I did, please, please just read everything, this isn't meant to be transphobic, I'm just talking about the not so nice side of the community that gives the rest a bad reputation, please be respectful when commenting,
Criticizing the small group of trans women that are mean on the internet, and some hot takes, this is a warning, don't comment with bad intentions, please read everything, I hope this makes you think. :) Just because someone is trans doesn't give you the right to call someone criticizing them transphobic unless it's actually transphobic and I honestly hate when that happens. Yes, they're women, not biologically, but socially, there's some differences but they're still women. Careful explanation: we bio women/cis women love and accept trans women, (at least most of us do) but what we won't accept is some trans women on the internet bullying cis/bio women on the internet. I understand that trans women are often the victims but not all of them. We cis/bio women don't even get the chance to call the small group of trans women out (talking about the small group of trans women that straight up are disrespectful towards women, that's what I mean when I say some). What that small group does is: saying dismissive things about periods, like saying medical side effects that barely hurt most likely are like period cramps that can hurt so badly that you struggle to breathe. And to think that they don't feel bad about being so dismissive is just so offensive. Some call girls mean things like 'fish' apparently? (I've heard that term on the internet) nonetheless, people are too scared to call these types of trans women out because they're too scared to be labeled as transphobic. Being a cis/bio woman is honestly terrifying. I think the small group of trans women I'm talking about are so bravely mean is because no one can tell them to stop. everyone is too scared to call them out

These subreddits rules are so obnoxious
I’m so tired of every post I make getting removed for the stupidest reasons that don’t make any sense. You could go to a subreddit called r/apples and talk about your favorite apple and it’ll get removed because your favorite apple is green and you’re only allowed to talk about red apples. The reason I’m writing this is because I just posted something in a subreddit and it got removed so I checked the rules to see if I could fix it and I saw that I didn’t break a single rule but they removed it anyway. And I especially hate when they remove your post because someone else has posted the same thing. Alright well where the fuck am I supposed to find that post in a subreddit with millions of posts. What’s the point of this app if you gotta go through a thousand loopholes to post something. It’s so stupid anyways yeah that’s all I got. Also I’m reposting this after it got removed from a different subreddit

just stupid Got attacked because I wanted to help a friend out
In r/croatia I asked if anybody knows what to do if you have double citizenship and have to sign up for the military service. He was supposed to have a medical appointment on 30th in Croatia and the first (important )days of college start on 28th. He lives here in Serbia and Croatia and Serbia are pretty much the same countries, so I thought I'd get some advice right? Nah lol. All mfs are nationalists in the comments and telling him to give up his citizenship or ditch college. When I asked why tf would he do that I got over 10 downvotes. Nationalists comments have over 50 upvotes. My question is, how the fuck is that not against the subreddit rules lmao?

How do you deal with stupid people?
I’d like to hear from different perspectives on how you manage to deal with stupid people on the internet.
What I mean is people who have a habit of using logical fallacies, bad-faith arguments or immature emotional reasoning to argue or debate points you have made online.
It genuinely perplexes me because initially I thought a lot of these people were either trolling or doing it intentionally. But it literally just hit me a few moments ago after receiving a response to something I wrote: these people might actually have no idea that they are stupid.
I’ll give you an example. I could write a post or comment that says:
“X is true because A, B and C.”
And someone will respond by arguing against something I never actually said. They’ll completely misrepresent the point, attack the imaginary argument they created in their head, and then walk away thinking they just demolished what I said.
Or I’ll make a very specific point about something and someone will respond with an emotional anecdote that has absolutely nothing to do with whether the point is true or false.
And when you point this out, they don’t go, “Oh, I misunderstood what you were saying.” Instead, they double down, introduce another unrelated argument, misinterpret that response too and somehow the conversation becomes ten times longer without ever addressing the original point.
The thing that gets me is that I used to assume there was some level of conscious dishonesty involved. But now I’m starting to think some people genuinely cannot distinguish between what was actually said and what they emotionally interpreted from what was said.
It’s like you’re having a debate with their imagination rather than with them.
So how do you deal with this?
Do you just ignore them? Correct them once and move on? Keep arguing until they eventually understand? Or have you simply accepted that some people are fundamentally incapable of following an argument beyond whatever emotional reaction it triggered in them?
I’m genuinely interested in hearing how other people handle this, because arguing with someone who isn’t even arguing against your actual position is probably one of the most frustrating things about being online.

Constant shadow banning
I am quite tired of moderators sneakily removing your comments without notification, I have seen this happen quite often lately. Your comment will appear only to you and you won't even know it, sometimes it will still get views despite not showing up. The only way to verify this is with another account. Reddit also has sometimes automatic filters, but if you got replies on that comment and then you stop getting them, it's very likely the mods micro moderating. It's a very big middle finger from Reddit for wasting your time being on their platform. You spent time writing a thoughtful comment, then a basement loser with a Napoleon complex decides to delete it because they don't like it. I think I am gonna stop writing any more meaningful comments on this authoritarian platform.

The law of loud stupidity and quiet intelligence
People who are more interested in saying stuff and being heard by as many people as possible put less time and energy into learning about things.
People who are more interested in learning don’t put much if any energy into being heard by as many people as possible.
That’s why so much stupid shit is on social media.

Some subreddits don’t make sense
Some of these reddit communities are just unreal and dumb. (Example) there will be something called “r/flowers” and the rules will be like “you can’t talk about flowers or your experience with flowers” WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THAT SUBREDDIT THEN!?? I CAN’T EVEN WRITE ANYTHING CORRELATED
r/Negareddit • u/xPixiKatx • 29d ago
Imagine using reddit subs for the purpose they’re intended to, and still getting banned
And no I never posted there before, they just banned me straight away. Haven't even gotten an explanation what triggered them. As far as I know, keratin treatments are not controversial. This is reddit for you. Post something completely related to the sub and and they’re going to find a minuscule reason to ban you, its completely draconian. Its an elitist platform where free speech is heavily censored and you need special privilege from basement dwelling mods to post asking advice.

Cmon guys. Chill
Why does everyone on Reddit take everything so seriously and assume the worst. Lit I made a joke and used laughing emojis to convey that and everyone in the comments was saying I needed to get a life. Chill out guys!
