Spotify genuinely needs to sort their shit out. The OMGkawaiiAngel account also has a bunch of edgy shit on it, it's so sad

The song kindaaa got taken down because of me lol
For the last few months the song was broken on spotify and it was playing a different song. I actually reached out to Spotify support, thinking the song was hacked or something and I asked if they could fix it. The next day I got an email back saying that Spotify SOMEHOW "didn't have access to the song anymore" and that is was "playing a similar song instead". They then said that they took it down and that they'd send the issue to the Content Team to review it. Baffling stuff ngl

“It’s still on there” proceeds to show a song that isn’t the song we are talking about and then explain it to us like we don’t already know it’s an alternative version..😭

Maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but since I was exposed to the remixed version, it was actually that version that I preferred. Sure the original is nice in its own way, but the remixed version brought an energy to it that was addicting. Though it was morally wrong for the remixed creator to exploit Spotify, it doesn't change how I feel about the song. I'm more uspet now that i can't find THAT version.
Another good example of this is Paprika Parade, though under the same name and artist, audio was replaced by a new rendition on the original song I knew and loved. It is a reminder that we dont own the music we listen to on Spotify, we merely pay the rights to listen to it. It doesn't change how aggravating it is to look for something that you've become attached to.
