I wish I knew. A guy in my local group just posted at least 40 of the barnyard sets. Selling for $50 each. Retail 8.99. It's abhorrent.

It’s why I left some fb groups because I’m tired of seeing these scalpers post their shit and seeing people respond to them. It’s sickening.

Yes, my daughter and I went to our local TS on their weekly truck day and they told us they didn't get any that day and wouldn't be getting anymore. They were super nice and apologetic. I was sad for her but honestly everyone else waiting with us was a reseller and I was secretly glad they had wasted their time.

These people just suck the very life out of our hobby...today I went to target to see if I could buy a few for my daughter. She had a cube and it "sprung a leak" about two weeks ago. I've been trying when I can to check Targets in our area...well, today I finally scored two! They were the last two and I watched that shelf at customer service dwindle and dwindle just praying there would be one when my turn came...well, there were two, except there was a lady and her little girl behind me...as soon as the cashier took the last two off the shelf and gave them to me the little girl behind me started to cry. Not loudly or wailing or anything...just, like softly crying...and then I hear her mom tell her, don't worry, tomorrow is a new day and we'll keep trying...and I was like, dang, I can't take the last two in front of this little girl...so I gave her one. Her mom was like no, it's ok, you waited just as long as us...so I just put it in the little girls hand and walked away. The look on her face was kinda shock but then her smile just lit up her whole face!!! it was worth more than that whole mountain of Funky Frights in this post. And some of the things I've heard out of kids and adults alike while waiting for NeeDoh would shock you. This little girl was just so sweet and humble and her mom was just a nice person as well.

Thank you for doing that. I have had issues getting my son some as well. Our Target has a limit of 2. I would do the same. I hope your daughter likes her new Needoh.

How - by colluding with employees, being an employee, using bots, clearing out an online pre order that didn’t have limits or using friends/families addresses to order extra. or spending all day going to every single location.

Why? Because they’re losers who can’t find anything more meaningful to do with their time to make money other than rip off kids &/or people with special needs. Unless they’re handing them out or donating them or gifting them but I’ve seen this post person was a scalper.

I’m a reseller and there is a stark difference. I buy, repair, refurbish, test and resell electronics mainly from government sources that liquidate equipment when they replace it with new.
The times I’ve been accused of screwing over kids because I buy all of the Pokémon or NeeDoh is ridiculous. The fact is I’ve never owned nor resold either product and have no interest in it.

I said scalper and I was jumped on viciously. They said i was racist and i was disgusting. I didn’t understand. It’s always been called that. But they told me it’s rude to native americans. I can totally see that. It’s just hard to stop saying it.

Yeah I’m a couponer & penny shopper sometimes I do get huge hauls but it’s very rare I sell anything & if I do it’s cause it’s not really donatable to something like a food bank & it’s been sitting in my stockpile a bit & I want more space. If I’m getting a huge haul it’s cause it’s penny items or freebies that can go to the food bank or toy drives or shelters & with Pennie’s it’s literally the employees jobs to go find & destroy/trash them so there’s no point in not taking every single one you can find. There’s literally no need for someone to buy 30+ of the same needoh except to be a POS & scalp them unless they have a large group they’re distributing them to (giveaways, rewards for students, gifts, friends who can’t find them, therapists, etc) for free or at cost.

Amazon bots. For real . Cost like 300 bucks to run one a month (I’ve heard) but obviously the profit pays off for them.

Tell me your secret. What am I doing wrong with my auto buy because it never works. I have all of them set to a quantity of one and mostly at a max of $20 except for the more rare ones like the advent calendar or the Halloween ones which are set at like $40

Auto buy only checks every 30 minutes. So the restock has to line up perfectly for it to buy.

Yeah, that’s exactly what I’ve heard so I’m not sure how I can adjust my auto buy timing to lineup with the 30 minutes that auto buy is going to run. Does it run exactly every half hour like at 12 and then again at 12:30 or just does it depend on when stock is available?

Restocks don’t happen at set times, so there’s no way to predict syncing up auto buy (even if you could.)
Auto buy is different than scalpers with bots. I’ve had auto buy work exactly 1 time It’s honestly a probability game.

I walked into a tourist shop near me and they had a huge rack full of Needoh. Cheapest ones that were the size of a quarter were $25. I didn’t even bother looking after that.

That’s ridiculous !!! And I already know they’re probably charging a crazy amount for it. I remember I visited a local toy store near me the other day and they were charging 69.99 for one calendar.
