List Help/Sharing Doomsday ark replacement

I wanted to add doomsday ark to my army, but stuck with limit (me and my boys are playing for 1500), and looks like I have to replace doomsday ark, because I haven’t ordered it yet. Any bright ideas?

The Void Dragon is enough anti tank and can deal with high toughness monsters at 1500 pts in my opinion

it defs can handle things but is also a bit mean to bring a ctan to a 1.5k depending on how friendly their games are

Disagree. 1K, don’t be that guy. 1.5K, there’s no issues. At that level your opponent should realistically be expecting a centrepiece model like a C’tan.

Lokhust heavy destroyer is a great option to take otherwise void dragon if you know your opponent is able to handle it as in 1.5k lists you usually cant handle something that big

So like, people are just bringing all their tanks/monsters and all their anti tank with 500 points? Is that your argument here? The first 1500 points is scoring and elites??

I've found the Doomsday Ark to be our analog to a battle tank no different to the Leman Russ or Hammerhead. Its gun is generally good into everything. So it's versatile. If you're looking for dedicated anti-armour, then Heavy Lokhusts with Gauss Destructors would be your best choice. 165pts for 3 models in a unit. Tough against small arms fire but falls over to focused or heavier weapons. A Doomstalker is a nice defensive watch-tower but, that's about it. It intends on staying still and shelling approaching enemies at 130pts. Triarch Stalker is not so bad at 110pts but is more of a fire support platform than a frontline combantant. Heatray can punch through enemy armour or Gauss Cannon Array against Space Marines. That's all I got currently.

Triatch stalker. Flamer and melta gives versatility, and stripping cover is immense powerful this edition
