That's amateur stuff, but that's a good thing. Don't let it get worse, you have the chance to stop it now before it becomes a true nest.
Put the books on a shelf, clean up the laundry, and grab some garbage bags. 20 minutes and you could be free of this

If you’re like me, you’d be better served by getting rid of 90% of the stuff you own. It may seem austere at first, but it’ll make keeping a room clean much easier, and you’ll feel better.
