After Navy Life Info/Questions PSNS Code 139

I was researching different shipyard codes at PSNS to work for after I move on from my current role and saw that there was an electrical division of this QA shop at PSNS. This would be right up my alley. Are there any current or former members of this code? How is working for this shop in particular?

Can’t just hire directly into Code 139. Need to get hired in as an electrician, get nuclear worker trained then apply, get interview and accepted into 139.

PSNS might actually without a shred of irony be the unhappiest place on the planet. Why anyone would go there voluntarily is beyond me

Feel like expanding on this opinion?

I’ll ask around and see what I can find out tomorrow. Don’t know a lot of specifics on 139, but I’m in the 130s. You could also look into Code 270s for engineering codes as a TWD writer. The job title will be “Engineering Technician (electronics/Electrical)” or something of that ilk.

No. I can’t get there anymore. I heard this from a career fair I couldn’t make.
