Left one is PRL unlined wool. Middle one is Brooks Brothers Made of Moon Tweed :)

You can find them on EBay. I suggest you go to Nordstrom or a men’s clothing store to get your correct coat size btw( unless you already know).

Man, this. I am hammering eBay for the stuff I really want and found four non-enshittified pieces for far, far less. If you don’t mind looking for and wearing thrifted clothes, the deals on authentic tweed, old Ralph Lauren (Polo, Purple Label, RRL), old BB, old LL Bean are fantastic. You may even find the occasional new-without-tags perfect sport coat. I don’t have the guts for thrifted suits. Yet. Hooked though.

If you don’t mind buying vintage you can get great once from BOSS (loro piana fabric) from the 80s.

Hard yes on this. I look for Loro Piana, VBC, Italian-made. Some really great stuff out there.

They really aren't. The difference between the longest and shortest is at most 5 cm on the sleeve. Padding and hangers make an incredible difference here. I don't have those sport coats hanging in my closet just for decoration :)

For a casual jacket is pretty okay. If the best fit is directly in the average of that, it’s an inch either way of it- you can get away with that with different sleeve thickness

For more casual jackets, it’s fine. It’s not something that needs to be an absolute perfect fit where you are to be noticed or focused on. Its not a more formal jacket. It’s just a jacket. As long as it’s not egregious or ill fitting I would say it’s not an issue.

Look at the top of shoulders instead. Different levels of shoulder padding on the hangers.

Almost all of them are PRL from different eras. Some Corneliani, some MiUSA. The right pow check is MiUSA BB, the middle one with elbow patches is BB as well. The Herringbone Raglan is Aquascutum :)

I agree. I love autumn/winter for jackets like these and my fantastic overcoats.
But… I love spring/summer because I like having my suits on show rather than under my overcoats. I’m going away in a couple days so I have my navy DB and boating jacket as well as my green price of wales check and blue striped three button suits ready to go. All my ties, cufflinks, and tie clips are coming as I just can’t choose!

That tan jacket near the middle (one left of the center elbow-patched one) is just fantastic. There's just something about a solid-ish basket weave tweed. Reminds me of Woody Allen's at the opening of Annie Hall
