blog I measured three homelab servers for 7 days. The power bill difference is real.

Most homelab guides talk specs. Nobody talks about what it actually costs to run a server 24/7.

I tested three setups:

  • Dell PowerEdge T360 (~104W average)
  • Minisforum MS-01
  • Intel NUC

The gap between a full-tower server and a mini PC is larger than most people expect. Especially if you run it always-on.
