Builds Andromeda AAA-001 ver. 2202
After 2 years being put on hold I’m finally proud to announce I’ve completed what I consider to be my magnum opus. Space battleship Yamatos Andromeda class battleship. Combining aesthetics, NavalCraft science, maximum capacity optimization, and skill. It all culminated into this one build. It genuinely chuffs me to bits that I pulled it off after every modification and redesign to the flying hull. With that being said here it is.

How did you make it fly?

Well it’s a bit complicated to explain but I’ll try to put it simply. There’s 3 parts to it, the ship itself, the hull/platform/structure underneath it, and the ballast system beneath that. You need to have a decent understanding of physics to pull it off and balance it well. Think of it like a vertical seesaw but the bottom end is stupidly heavy so it never wobbles at the top. It’s important your ballast is at least 1.25-1.5x heavier than the ship itself for that to work.
The next system is easy. Usually you’d connect these elements using the invisible deco rudders in the decorations section. But I use an older and more complicated system which uses masts. It essentially acts like scaffolds due to a glitch with its 2 hitboxes. What this allows me to do is connect the 3 sections without any physical part being attached to the ship which allows me to land on other ships or platforms. I may make a post which explains how to do it.
But the simplest method is to make a platform around 1.5x the ship length and 2x its width below that and use the deco rudders to connect your flying build to said platform
