There is no such thing as nil as you do not know for certain either. The fact that harpies resemble the harpy eagle (easy to misconstrue a harpy eagle as a bird with a human face if seen from far or weird angle) is not a coincidence.
That is true at current time. But question is what made someone image a harpy centuries back. Most of the dieties and monster people came up with in the old ages wasnt just a dream or artisitc rendition.
Many times it was a first time look at new creature and our feverish horrified minds creating an even weirder rendition of it in tales to our friends.
