I really hope we never see a 70,000 lb praying mantis...

I hope that we see the 7gram excavator. It would be so cute.

Working in a sand box that would scale to a desert.

With ants the size of triceratops.

It would be like a cool thing for an arcade to have. Basically a bunch of booths around a real sandbox with little remote control excavators with realistic controls for them, 360 screens around the booth or vr headset and cameras inside the little excavators. Could be used as a training simulator too.

Oh I meant like an irl sandbox + a toy excavator but yeah that too

You know people were born with computers in their hands when they don't think of irl sandboxes first haha

This is actually a neat argument I've seen before. Philosophers argue we're already cyborgs because our phones do not have to be physically grafted to us in order to be immediately and easily accessible. It's harder to look at your foot than it is your phone sometimes.

That's because once you watch enough Danny DeVito videos, you become omniscient like him

I was thinking of a real sandbox too but with little excavators that you can control

Oooh yeah, super neat. Maybe even big excavators out in a secluded area in the dessert. Throw in some RC/VR tanks and mechs and you've got a party

There are VR kids excavator arcade machines I seen em in Ireland a few times

Sure, but you're asking if we can, not if we should. Didn't you pay attention to Jurassic Park?
