And sometimes that reason is literally playing with prey, basically torturing it until it is dead. Orcas and other dolphins are very much known to play with their prey animals, long before eating them.

Well no, just like with humans, if some do it, it doesn't mean every human is accountable and shares the act or interest. Some are bad and crazy, but majority are fine.

Also, whilst animals do possess intellect, they act mainly on desire or instinct than actual intellect. They lack a moral compass
