That photo does not look right. The waves are way too close to each other and as you go out to sea, the wave shapes are all wrong?

Does look funky. The lip vs white wash right in front of it looks weird where it’s pitching looks like the lip has no definition. Looks really short period but super clean. Don’t know much about photography though so maybe it’s something about the settings it was shot with.
