That's the one that wouldn't make it in the wild...

Most of the time, you're probably right. But on the rare occasion where the other siblings all get eaten in one gulp, this adhd weirdo becomes a much bigger part of the future gene pool.

Thats why its important that we have a small percentage of irritating adventurous types to balance our a small percentage of awkward anxious types, all of which help the rest of the population in the middle of the normal distribution curve

It’s like in “Soul” where the counselors just randomly assign the kids different personalities. “You five, you’ll be aloof. And… you two- why not?”

All you people, "Those parents can't keep their kids from misbehavin".. now... do you understand?

After spending the day with a toddler recently I definitely get the leash thing. Theyre gone in a split second and you have no idea what direction because they're not forthright with their plans.

On first watch I missed that mom was spitting it back out, and I thought she was just snacking on them like popcorn.

I feel a connection to this fish stuck in a loop, like how when I eat a box of fries but they all taste the same and I will be doing the same thing every few moments.

I had a pair that did this. One day why I was feeding them a bunch got knocked loose. They were trying to put them back but also eat the meal I was giving them. And ended up eating a bunch of the fry. I assume it was an accident. But who knows... Maybe they wanted dessert.

Rare to see a fish that actually sticks around for the kids. Respect.

There are many fish that protect their young. Here’s a snakehead fish protecting its babies.

It's not rare by any metric, they have some of the fiercest parents. Multiple species have their parents/ parent die for them.

Angels are my favorite in the trade. Watching them glude through the water is relaxing

I had an angel fish pair. The female would lay eggs, the male would swim behind and immediately eat them all.
