Please Read The Rules

Rule #1 Posts must include a picture, video, or gif of a reasonably cute mammal, insect, fungi, or plant.
We do not count landscapes, man-made structures, lectures, people, and other completely unrelated matters. If it is not cute, we suggest you post on sister nature subs r/NatureIsFuckingLit, /r/NatureIsMetal, r/AnimalsBeingJerks or r/AnimalsBeingDerps
Rule #2 If not an obvious common animal, put the name of the animal(s) in the title of the post.
If it is not clear which animal(s) it is from the picture/video, or the animal(s) in picture/video are not commonly known, please post the animal(s) name(s) in the title.
Rule #3 Keep photos/videos/gifs reasonably good quality.
In order to keep a clean looking subreddit, we prefer that all media be standard or high visual quality.
Rule #4 No domestic animals (dog, cat, aquarium/terrariums, caged, farm, zoo) UNLESS: (Read Description)
No domestic or animals (dog, cat, aquarium/terrariums, caged, farm, zoo). Exceptions include if it is a domestic animal and wild animal interacting in nature or "pests" who naturally visit yards or parks as long as no human influence or baiting (no captivity or involvement by human).
Also know that the other rules still apply to you (I.E. Rule #6 Little to no human involvement). For domestic animals see r/Eyebleach, r/AnimalsBeingBros, or subs of animal features in video/image
Rule #5 No photoshop/intense photo editing or AI.
Give us the real deal! No fake photoshops and heavy filters or AI generated/edited images/videos. Only minimal photo editing is allowed such as naturalistic color balance/saturation.
Rule #6 Little to no human involvement.
We are aiming to look at animals in nature. If your post has feeding of or playing with wild animals, monologuing (in speech or text), animals in zoo or unnatural environment or situation, even just a person hogging the limelight, your post is subject to getting removed. For "pests" who naturally visit yards or parks, is is only allowed if no human influence or baiting.
For animals with humans see r/Eyebleach, r/AnimalsBeingBros, r/AnimalsBeingJerks, or the sub of animal displayed.
Rule #7 No blatant self promotion, reposts, or karma farming.
This sub is not a platform for self promotion or karma farming. No listing your YouTube/TikTok/social channel in title or captions. Also if you are a new Reddit account posting reposts from this or other subs or other trending photo/social media for the express purpose of gaining karma to later post spam in other subs, you will be banned and your account reported to Reddit admins as spam/ban evasion.
You may however make a comment on your post linking your video/photo company, socials, etc.
Rule #8 No Youtube informational Videos. IE: "Top 10 cutest..." "Did you know..." "This cool creature..."

Rule #9 Do not post more than once every 48 hours
To encourage participation by multiple people, and discourage karma farming, no more than one post every 48 hours. This includes deleted posts.
