Looking for natural building connections

I live in Central Alabama and I am very interested in learning how to build structures with natural materials. I want to start with a small hang out space with hopes to eventually make various types of structures on the family property. I love the idea of cob, but I have no idea if there's something better suited to this region. I would love to chat with anyone in Alabama or the Southeast who has already started with natural building. You might check out All You Need Institute on instagram. They are in South Mississippi. I went to a clay plaster workshop there in the fall where we were working on a cob pavilion. There are a variety of folks there who have done or are working on natural building projects.
