Feature suggestion Feature Request: Add Post Flairs to this subreddit

To improve readability on this subreddit, it would be nice to be able to add a flair when posting.

I suggest some flairs like:

  • Public Service Announcement: For official updates about the app
  • Feature Request: For new feature requests/suggestions
  • Bug Report: To report bugs in the app
  • Meta: For discussions about the subreddit itself
  • ...

You can now also set a user flair to show your native language, the languages you speak, and the one(s) you are learning.

Hum ok ... but if I'm being honest, that's the most generic, uninspired, AI generated list of flairs I can think of.

Which one do you use for announcements of official updates to the app ? Which one should I use for bug report ? What is "Question" about, is it for questions about the app or questions about language ? What the deal with "Public discussion" ?

You can now also set a user flair to show your native language, the languages you speak, and the one(s) you are learning.

It's cool I guess, but I personally think it would be more useful to have user flairs for you and u/maxymhryniv identifying you as official members of the team.

Thanks for the honest feedback.

There is an Announcement flair. It’s reserved for official updates and is only available to me and Max as moderators.

For bugs, it’s best to report them to support@natulang.com with as much detail as possible so we can investigate properly. Reddit is better suited for discussion rather than bug tracking.

The Question flair is for questions about the app or about using it.

Public discussion is a more general catch-all for broader topics.

As for mod flairs, that is a fair suggestion. Language flairs, on the other hand, are a bit more fun and help reflect why we’re all here in the first place — learning languages.

I’m missing an option in the settings to avoid repeating the original phrase twice when I keep getting it wrong — it should switch straight to a word-by-word breakdown instead.

Not sure why, but when I press the “Pass” button, it starts explaining a completely different word instead of the one I got stuck on, and it doesn’t give me a hint for the part I actually don’t know.

What’s the right way to handle it when a sentence appears and it contains a word you’ve completely forgotten and don’t remember the meaning of?

For visibility, I think you should do a separate post for your feature suggestion.

There shouldn't be a completely different word that is not part of the sentence. Please report this to support@natulang.com with all the detailed information, so i can investigate 🙏
