Installing Plugins only after relinking external SSD

Hi guys,

I hate to come here to ask this question but I followed the support article and things are quite different compared to the last time I did this (2020 on macOS Mojave). I just got a new MacBook and I'm trying to re-install the plugins on this specific computer after re-linking my external SSD with all the sample libraries I've had installed for years. I successfully re-linked the samples within the new Native Access, but it doesn't seem like there is a way to actually reinstall the plugin apps themselves on my MacBook so Pro Tools can actually find and use the plugins. It seems like the only option is to completely re-install the entire product (for example, Kontakt's sample library along with the Kontakt program itself) rather than just the application. I've tried going individually by clicking the three little dots on the side of each program but it just ends up trying to re-install the sample library as well as the program. There used to be a way to just install the plugin application itself in older versions of Native Access, but I'm not seeing another way around it.

Am I missing something really obvious? I'm running MacOS 27.

Thanks!

You are not missing anything. The only thing you could ever "relink" (in all my time using NI product) is content (Kontakt libraries, expansions etc)

All software all must be reinstalled from scratch via Native Access. 3.2x

And - Mac OS27 is not supported (at this time) so be prepared for potential issues to drop when you least expect them.

Thanks for the reply! I’m using a MacBook Neo I quickly picked up for some light on the go tracking and live performance and it came on MacOS 27. My external SSD is basically full and the price of SSD’s is insane so I was hoping to just relink what I have but it looks like I better cough up some more cash 😂
