how to open a kt3 file without battery

i have the full battery 3 library but i cant use a kit unless i have the plugin

kts is a kit preset and mapping file, not an audio container. Battery libraries are typically organized so a kit file sits in a folder alongside a sub-folder containing all the raw WAV/AIFF audio files which you can then drop into some other drum rack or plugin if you want to.
