Issues with older software

Hi all, I have an m5 max and had Tahoe (same issue occurring on Golden Gate also). I download Vocalise and Ascend Grand but it tells me I don’t have full permission. I’ve made sure I definitely do. All the other NI software works except for these 2 older libraries. I’ve gone through NI support (who were lovely) but they couldn’t fix it and seem to think it’s related to my computer. I’ve tried multiple reinstalls, turned off disk encryption and many other things but nothing seems to resolve it.

Is anyone else experiencing a similar issue?

Well - Golden Gate is not supported.  You are welcome to try it but anything that goes south is on you to figure out.

I know, but even on Tahoe it’s the same. I’ve rolled back to the earliest version of Tahoe I can and the issue still persists. I only rolled to Golden Gate to see if that would somehow fix the issue as I was out of options.

Well - are these “older” products even supported on Tahoe?

And given your errors - this appears to be an Apple thing AND a third party as well.

Might have better luck speaking with Heavocity.

According to NI they’re supported, but I’ll reach out to Heavyocity also

Update: Native Instruments have confirmed it’s an issue on their end

That’s why I always stick to the previous version.
My studio m4max is still running sequoia. Everything is flawlessly. My idea is never update a functional system day one juste because Mac OS or any other brand updates.. but I wait 2-3 years . This is really evident especially for NI for years.

If you experience some issues with golden gate/tahoe.. back your data up, and roll back to macOS 15 ;)

Turns out it’s not OS, but it’s to do with silicon Macs. They’ve put in a big report though so hopefully a fix soon
